His lawyers (not to mention TKO top brass) must be terrified that the old git is going to go on Taker’s podcast to give “his side of the story”.
You are correct, Vince doesnt seem to be the type that gives up in a fight right away, if goes to a podcast to tell his side of the story he will try to drag several people with him after the Netflix doc buried him

I feel like anything else I’ll say will just be similar to what everyone else will say so instead, I’m going to bring back one of my favourite posting go-tos.

Vince saying he hates the documentary’s perception of him is the best advertisement ever lol.

I will add, it’s really funny that Vince is trying to say that they linked the “affair” he had with Janel Grant as evidence the documentary makers mixed his Mr. McMahon character when A) Janel Grant wasn’t interviewed for the documentary, B) if he’s not talking about Grant, you can make the distinct case of responding with “Which affair, Vince? The four others we know about?” and C) you do not need to look far to make a documentary about the bad stuff Vince did. John Oliver listed a bunch of them f***ing 5 years ago.

Well done.

That's about as convincing as a "Please don't conflate movie portrayals of me for who I really am" coming from John Wayne Gacy or Ted Bundy.

Vince's statement might be the biggest Twitter comment backfire by a sex pest since this one:

I for one after reading that. Find him 100% innocent of anything he’s ever been accused of. 🙄

The funniest thing is that I doubt Vince McMahon did this himself. So this isn't just "creepy, senile man goes rogue on Twitter to post this," but something likely vetted by his lawyers and/or PR team.

If anyone knows what that 2nd paragraph looks like it's Vince based on the bullshit documentaries produced on his watch under the WWE umbrella.

Vince McMahon's account posting to Twitter for the first time in a year and a half does two things:
1. Draws only more attention to the yet-to-be-released Netflix documentary, assuring more eyes will be on the product when it premieres later this week.
2. Makes everyone aware that this is going to be harsh on Vince McMahon. A lot of people on this forum alone were expecting some flowery puff piece, and while it was never going to be that, we're now realizing that it's definitely going to take him to task.
Also, and this is apropos of nothing, but you can tell a lot about the story of the WWE over the last two-plus years through Vince McMahon's last three Tweets alone:
- Today, about the upcoming Netflix documentary. - April 2023, regarding the Endeavor merger. - July 2022, announcing his first retirement from WWE.

His Lawyers will be having him watch news footage of Prince Andrew's interviews and the coverage of that, Clockwork Orange style if they have any sense.

This is the guy who took out full page ads in the New York Post when the ring boy and steroid scandals broke, he’s thrown tantrums on TV when asked about premature wrestler deaths. His response to the toffs in DC guffawing over Linda’s husband being the brainchild behind Katie Vick and more was the Stand up for WWE cringe. Safe to say he doesn’t really understand the Streisand effect and it’s surprising (and maybe a sign of how much trouble he’s in) that he’s been silent for a year.

Apparently McMahon tried to buy the rights to the doco at some point before the Janel Grant reports were made public, but Netflix told him (and also Ari Emanuel, who Vince basically said “See if they listen to you”) to get to steppin’, so he was sweating this thing even BEFORE it got worse for him.

Vince screwed Vince. I have no sympathy for Vince whatsoever. That is all. Nah Vince screwed others out of their dignity, their agency, and their freedom. It's why WWE being a monopoly for so long is dangerous and why having a solid second company helps relieve some of the issues of being the only game in town.
