Just to echo what I said in the live thread, this feels like TK is stacking this card to maximize eyes on the Okada or Mercedes signing announcement.

The card for next week is a show I’m excited for though.

The card for next week is a show I’m excited for though. We watched different shows then especially the first hour. Opener was great and another really solid Jeff Hardy match that set up a BCC vs CMLL feud, Toa Liona had a huge coming out party in his match with Hangman where he looked like a monster, Wardlow had some of his best character work vs Komander in ages and looks like he's finally finding a groove with himself which is a welcomed sight and Cole on commentary was gold. Plenty of meaningful movement and developments, happened on this show. And the wrestling quality superseded what I was initially expecting.

I really enjoyed last nights show but I could understand someone thinking it felt more minor, next weeks does look much better on paper. But you can't have an all timer every week, if you can still put on an excellent show on the weeks you're not even trying that hard then you're doing pretty well, and I thought that was what they did last night.
Next weeks show looks like an entirely different prospect though, really stacked.

Plenty of meaningful movement and developments, happened on this show. And the wrestling quality superseded what I was initially expecting. Toa came off sloppy and green to me, I wasn’t especially impressed by him. The opener was okay, but like a mid-tier 3 star match with the outcome not in doubt. None of the first 4 matches had the winner in doubt, nor were they very good matches. And I know the 2 matches I didn’t see yet also don’t have the winner in doubt. I didn’t see any meaningful development in that first hour, maybe the second hour gets better. As it relates to next week’s show though, that looks great and already I can see that the four scheduled matches can go either way (although I’d imagine the Page-Swerve match ends in a draw).

Bryan Alvarez laying out the idea of Sting/Darby losing next week due to Bucks shenanigans and the more I listened the more I kinda like the idea.
Like there are 4 options here
Sting wins both matches. Maybe Sting loses both matches. No Sting loses, then wins. Puts over Starks, avenges loss by beating Bucks Sting wins, then loses to Bucks. Do the Bucks need it?

I initially thought that Sting and Darby were definitely winning, and the the match with the Bucks would be for the titles to create more uncertainty over the result. But now, with the rankings, I'm assuming the Bucks may not even be eligible and they've definitely teased the idea of the Bucks costing them the titles with that "we'll have to get his attention a different way" line, and the fact it's now a Tornado Tag gives them license to interfere. So I'm guessing the Bucks cost them the match, ruining Sting's perfect record and garnering some heat for their Revolution match, with them not looking like idiots as they wouldn't have been eligible for the titles anyway, before Sting and Darby win at Revolution to send everyone home happy.

That's a better card than most of the 27 ppvs in the last third of 2023.
It's like TK is addressing my main easily fixed criticisms, a bit of a gap between ppvs to allow a big card like this, Takeshita having a high profile tv match and the first tag title defense on dynamite since 5th April 2023.
Plus a high probability of Mercedes debuting to help address the other glaring issue of the women's division presentation.

Toni Storm will take on Red Velvet on Dynamite. It also sounded like we're getting Kris/Willow against Saraya/Ruby for Rampage but that has not been announced yet.

After hearing what happened at the other place, Khan needs to have Swerve finish his story at Revolution!

After hearing what happened at the other place, Khan needs to have Swerve finish his story at Revolution! I think they do triple threat at Revolution where Joe pins Hangman, and then Swerve takes title at DON (which isn't too long after Revolution) in a singles. I think that's just right enough time. Gives Joe's reign a fairly decent length. And then they can put foot down full throttle on Swerve in the singles feuds. And during this period they can put bed the Swerve/Hangman feud. Though I do think in hindsight they really could have done with Hangman winning one of their previous 2 matches
