Funny that he's now been in WWE under three different names. Dunno if that seems like something that a more important guy should have had happen, or if it's a sign of his weird status as a respected veteran with a very low ceiling. Ah that explains the 3 faces then. I forgot he was Gavin Spears first and not Shawn originally. Gavin Spears? Sounds like a porn name. I'm glad no one ever hit him in the Crown Jewels on the ECW brand. |

Spears is a solid worker, but never like an amazing one. But him being back on NXT is fine since since he could get that Corbin level rehab. He's not the type of worker that's going to set the world on fire. But as like a player coach level dude he's perfectly cromulent. Again his main issue with WWE teh first time was that they weren't letting him wrestle at all. |

The same crowd that will say with their whole chest that AEW can not make stars will sing the praises of Shawn Spears, and ask "Who?" in regards to Tye Dillinger They still chant 10 at him in that video... which was his schitck as Tye Dillinger. Calling him a "star" at any point of his career though is a massive stretch. He's been the good hand jobber in both companies. which he'd probably be fine with cause his main complaint leaving WWE in the first place is that they weren't even using him that way. Right but Chair Pervert is his AEW gimmick, and it looks like they kept that presentation too. |

I watched the clip and is it just me or does the audience reaction when he reveals his face sound... like fake as hell?
Like Smackdown Seagully. It just didn't sound right for that arena...

It only clicked for me when I recognised his panther tattoo. |

Looks to me like the seagull pop thing is right, you can hear people chant 10 really loud but as soon as they do, they’re completely drowned out. must mean they don’t want the 10 chants to continue if I had to guess
