Seems like there's probably still more to it since that Youtube channel that seems to be run by Bo's been updated with a video of Spears using audio that doesn't seem to be the same takes as the recording on the broadcast.

They brought back this guy and Elias is still out there. This still puzzles me. Elias was massively over. What the hell happened? I’ve seen him say in the past that Triple H just never ‘got him’. Shame as he was massively over at one point. His gimmick was always fun, especially for the live crowd. |

That Bo channel is just a cleverly edited AI voice (or someone with a hell of an impression) I don't think it's actually him. It's been hinting at Bo using on air stuff for a while and it never resembles anything that actually happens on TV. |

I buy that. It was way dark for that angle, so I'd bet not many people in the crowd (who were seeing the back of him, keep in mind) picked up on who it actually was. It only clicked for me when I recognised his panther tattoo. Oh yeah like people were chanting 10, I think he got a pop, but that sounded like a 10K seat arena, shit wasn't subtle and it sounded really off lol He definitely got a pop, and it was a decent pop, but then suddenly it sounds like they’ve dubbed in crowd noise from the f***ing Super Bowl |

In fact it turns out Rob Fee has actually reached out to creator. It's good work but to be on the back of Uncle Howdy etc especially after what happened to Bray seems ick to me. |

I really hope the "HOLY SHIT" chants weren't piped in considering how quick USA is on the censor button. Completely killed the moment because you couldn't hear a damn word Vic was saying or the weird grunts Booker was probably making.
It was pretty dark, too, and Shawn Spears wasn't the most recognizable guy anyway. So until I looked on here, I had no idea who it even was because of the censoring lol.

I like Spears a lot and am happy to see him getting a shot in NXT.
I do have to say that I find it amusing that AEW takes so much heat online for bringing in "WWE guys" and not changing their gimmicks at all, but WWE is pretty consistently keeping people they bring in from AEW's gimmick, character, and presentation 100% intact. We got chair swinging pervert Shawn Spears here, not "The Perfect 10" Tye Dillinger.

While Shawn Spears is not the hottest signing, he really hit off with two gimmicks in AEW:
The Tag Partner Search (which was ended by the pandemic,out of his control)
And Chair Pervert(Which at this point AEW had alreasy ""given up"" on him).
He is not the guy that is gonna do well in every role but he can strike some really good acts.
