Easy peasy question for this one considering how tonight went down.
One could say that this is all going to come to a head at Mania and be done there but I don't think it will. I think this is leading to The Rock being thrown in a similar role to the Authority or the... other guy but in a more Hollywood way of doing it. With how the movie stuff has gone for Rock's public image, maybe now is the time where he could stick around for a year or two, seeing as he's already making the equivalent of at least one movie with the TKO deal. The idea of him sticking around way past this Mania is a real possibility.
The question is this. Do you want this version of The Rock to stick around and if so, in what way?

Corrupt authority figure but he also throws around the most juvenile cornball insults imaginable? I'd rather give myself tinnitus.

Too soon to tell. If this turns into an amazing character somehow, then sure. If this just turns into The Samoan Authority, then no.

If he would help people get over, sure. If he's a 50 year old indestructible roid monster that belittles everyone ala "The Authority", then I'll do what I did during The Authority and stop watching for a long while.

Corporate Bloodline incoming. Somewhere Austin’s Stone Cold sense will be tingling…and he’ll remember his epic feud with his boss: Naked Mideon.

I never wanted Rock back in 2004, much less 2024.

Depending how this this goes, wouldn’t mi Robin as a counteracting authority figure to trips or the GMs to pop in every once in a while. Dudes gonna be doing a lot still though.

I don't think he eats as much pie as he once claimed. Frankly I don't want to see him until he's held accountable for building his career on such lies.

Count me iffy right now. I'm actually liking the approach to GM's that the shows have at the moment. Aldis and Pearce are a part of the show without being the show. HHH only appears occasionally and it makes things more special when he does show up.
Chairman Rock, ehhhhh. Dwayne certainly has the charisma to pull off the "Mr. McMahon" role but I'm reaaalllly not crazy about another heel authority figure being a top focus in WWE right now. Especially after being burned out from the neverending Authority angles in the mid-to-late 2010's.
I'm going with the current "less is more" approach. If Rock wants to show up on NXT to lay down the law as backup for Ava, fine, long as he only appears once in a while and isn't the HHH to her Steph (I shudder to think what'll happen if they go that route).
Edit: On second thought, no, I don't want Rock putting himself over on NXT of all places, even if his daughter is in charge...so, yeah, at this point, I'd rather not see Chairman Rock anywhere.

He needs to now be referred to by his birth name Dwayne Johnson and start wearing white suits with a beret. Handing out fines to anyone who talks shit about his family.

Absolutely not. WWE has finally escaped out from underneath the 20-year-long trope of "evil authority figure." Things have been just fine with Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis serving in the roles as general managers and just making matches without undermining the wrestlers or making life hell for the top babyfaces.
