I have seen people call Abadon "Abaddon" or "Abandon". The former is correct for talk of the demon, but "Abadon" is how they spell their wrestling name. Abandon may be the result of auto-correct to be fair.

Back in the 80's there was more than one announcer (Lance Russell was one, and I think I heard it in the AWA too) who referred to Paul Heyman as "Paul E. Dangerly". I never figured out if it was because he'd been called that at one point or if they just didn't know his name.

The amount of times you still see WCW typed as “the WCW” or “wCw” is bewildering to me. I was always amused when Bret Hart said "the WCW" in promos. "wCw" is a byproduct of when they changed the logo in 1999-2001 with the smaller W's with a massive C. The WWF-ified logo used during the Invasion angle also had smaller W's with a big C

Seemed to be more of a thing that ex WWF guys did who just couldn't quite remember what company they were in.

Hell, a lot of fans, wrestlers, and people in general say "the WWE" when that's grammatically incorrect too.

Both guys have used both spellings. Based on the promotion they wrestled for?

It took a long time for me to correctly spell it "Braun Strowman," because I'm so used to spelling "Stroman" because of the pitcher Marcus Stroman.

John Laurinaitis, especially given that his name is going to be in a lot of headlines this year.

Michael McGillicutohwhatiseventhef***ingpointofthisridiculouslylongname I kept thinking he was going to get some "Heart-Shaped Box" rip-off after going to the main roster because of having the same kayfabe last name as Beulah.

Bret and Ric, who are two of the biggest stars in wrestling seem to get their name misspelled still. Both guys also transcend wrestling but every once in a while someone on a board will write "Brett" or "Rick."
The Goldberg A&E show was on tonight and Mean Gene, on Confidential called WWE "the WWE." I get why it's not correct given what the letters stand for but with just the initials I get why people put "the" in front of it.
