Even after all these years you still sometimes see a Bailey or Rhonda Rousey out in the wild.

Yeah, Hennig's name gets butchered so much it's actually kinda weird.
Not actually for a name, but in the Portuguese wrestling circles you guys won't believe how many people used (and still do!) to spell "heel" as "hell". When I was a blogger and there was this big wrestling blog community, I'd see that like 5 times a week at one point on articles alone, never mind comments.

There used to be a ton of Rick Flair and Lex Lugar spellings.
I doubt that anything will ever top Rotunda/Rotundo or Curt Henning though.

I have seen people call Abadon "Abaddon" or "Abandon". The former is correct for talk of the demon, but "Abadon" is how they spell their wrestling name.

Tony Schiavone. He has made light of this several times on his podcast.
Sheamus. I still can't remember, or care enough to check, if there's an H in his name.

Tbh the top two have to be “Curt Henning” and “Lex Lugar”.
Hennig’s is so bad that not only is it often misspelled, even watching shows he was on it’s more striking to hear someone say it properly than it is when someone gets it right. Wrestlers and announcers alike would commonly say Henning. Even his friends.
Lugers is just typically seen misspelled online I would suppose.

I still can't spell or say "Brad Rheingans" correctly without looking it up.
Haku and Tama were also bungled regularly on chyrons and commentary. Tama especially.

The amount of times you still see WCW typed as “the WCW” or “wCw” is bewildering to me.

Does Big Dave count, when people used the real spelling of his last name (Bautista) when talking about his ring name (Batista)?
