Ultimate Warrior, peak workrate era Ring Of Honor. Warrior vs Bryan Danielson for the ROH Pure Championship. The match consists of Warrior getting gassed on the way to the ring, and collapsing of exhaustion after 30 seconds of chain wrestling. Somehow, Warrior still goes over.

Big papa pump in peak ecw I don't think this fits the point of the thread. Steiner in ECW would be incredibly over and win all the belts constantly and his promos were very shooty and ECW style My pick is send dead man Undertaker back to wrestle champion Bob Backlund

I’ll do another easy one. Jim Cornette managing the Young Bucks in current AEW.

I'll pick the low hanging fruit. Hulk Hogan in ECW. Backstage politics and such wise...probably. On screen character though...that's a tougher thing to ponder. I mean, both Sid and Dusty Rhodes got over pretty well in ECW in their short times there. Sure Hogan's characters are a different entity, but at the very least I could see Hollywood being a good ECW heel. I love fantasy booking guys to make them fit in ECW. Hogan would be tough, depending on the time period 80s all the way up to mid 90’s Hogan, you’d have to water board him to get him to drop the BROTHER deal unless he wanted to lean into it as a heel gimmick (which I wouldn’t think would go over well). If you could get him to go back to his early character against like, Lawler where he was sort of a bruising ass kicker that may work.

Akeem the African Dream in 1940s NWA St. Louis territory. As long as he has Jive Soul Bro as his theme. Another one from me... Great Khali in AAA 1990s

Akeem the African Dream in 1940s NWA St. Louis territory. Send Val Venis with him. Book the two in a match against each other. The match ends when everyone involved, including Sam Muchnick gets arrested for violating some sort of WWII-era obscenity laws.

The Young Bucks in classic AWA. They’re immediately challenged by Butcher & Mad Dog Vachon but the Crusher and Dick the Bruiser want them too.

A faction lead by Luna Vachon, with Abdullah the Butcher, Bruiser Brody and NewJack in NXT 2.0. Hell throw in Necro Butcher as well.

Another one (though they still may appreciate the ring style if Malenko was any indication): Bruno Sammartino in 1994/1995 ECW.

I honesty want to see most of these.
1989-91 Ultimate Warrior vs. Prime Danielson would be a banger. 1970s Andre in NXT would be a blast. Backlund vs. Zombie Undertaker would probably sell out the garden and 70s Backlund's goofy ass babyface fire would be awesome making a comeback against Taker as he no-sells everything.
Gimmie all of these.

As an avid overthinker I gotta say, a lot of these only work if you make the assumption the person that's being time shifted acts exactly like they did in their original time period.
