I usually dread holiday numbers because they can be rough, but that's pretty good all things considered I blame the Tree Branch that knocked the power out on my block for this number not being higher

There are thousands of people who saw AEW for the first time during that overrun and now believe Matt Taven is a main event level badass.

Garcia got all the couples hot and bothered with his dancing, thus the missing viewers

What a drop off for Edge. Holy crap. He’s never really been a ratings draw for whatever reason (aside from the initial boost after his MITB cash-in).

He drew the highest segment of Collision in this same week, I wouldn't really read deep into it being "They don't care about Copeland"

Not to try and sound all "le casual fans" but I do sometimes wonder if a chunk of people not savy about wrestlers real names are unaware that Edge is even in AEW.
That or he just isn't a needle mover.

That or he just isn't a needle mover. In fairness to him, a majority of his appearances and matches have been on Collision. All of the Garcia build has been on Collision as well. Edge isn't enough of a standalone draw to sell people on a match like this.

Last week quarter 3 drew viewers and was the 2nd highest of the show. Edge isn't drawing, brother jack dudes.

Not to try and sound all "le casual fans" but I do sometimes wonder if a chunk of people not savy about wrestlers real names are unaware that Edge is even in AEW. That or he just isn't a needle mover. Something as simple as Adam "The Edge" Copeland would be much better. Even people I've been used to calling something for years I normally fairly quickly adapt to the new name but this is the first time ever I can't for some reason. 6 months later he's still Edge to me, not Adam Copeland. In hindsight I'm surprised it only took me a month or 2 to get used to like calling the Dudleys Team 3D. It probably doesn't help that ever since his return in 2020 he seems to have developed a more is more mentality. He's super intense/dark most of the time with brief moments of levity when it used to be other way round. His feuds drag on forever. Edge/Orton lasted 6 months even not including his time out injured. Edge/Judgment Day lasted 10 months. Edge/Christian is currently at 5 months. His PPV matches post-comeback also try really hard to be epics a lot of the time to the point that even the ones I like I could happily cut 5-10 minutes from sometimes (insert joke about Christian only needing 12 seconds to beat him last time).

Edge is still a great veteran wrestler, but he's also at the point of his career where he isn't a draw by himself either. Was the same way in WWE, too.

Do you see some similarities of how Christian face run in AEW was? I also remember people having issues with him in his first year.
