So I thought of this recently. I had requested "Mad Max: Fury Road" from the library recently and I remembered that a version in black and white was released a while back. The same thing happened with "Logan," which was included on the Blu-ray release that I have. I also heard there is a B&W version of "Zack Snyder's Justice League." Also, believe it or not, there is a B&W version of "Johnny Mnemonic." Another one I should mention was that "Godzilla Minus One" had a black and white release.
I am curious about some of these. Does the monochrome picture make any difference? Is there anything to the presentation?

The Mist has a B/W cut. Makes the wonky CGI tenticles look better.

I haven't seen it myself, but the opinions of several people I hold highly say the n&w of Johnny Mnemonic makes a universe of a difference. I can see that as the dark-neon-color-wash was something heavily criticized about the film even when it first came out and taking away that distraction to focus on the other camera techniques and the story itself seems like it'd be like giving it an entirely different shake.

Godzilla Minus One Minus Color looked great but they actually remastered it. They didn’t just slap a monochrome filter on it. But it actually enhanced the already great movie, it genuinely looked like an old black & white movie.
