Title Match Pro Wrestling for the Atari 2600. Now be quiet, whippersnappers, Lawrence Welk is on. It is either that for me or this early 80s computer wrestling game. I can't remember which I played first. But now thinking about it Mat Mania in the arcade has to be the first. The place my parents bowled every week had that in the arcade from when it came out until at least 1990. Got it now for my Evercade on one of the carts. Harder than I remember.

I think the first one I played was either Raw, or Royal Rumble on the Mega drive. It wasn't long after that I played WWF Warzone, however.

It was f***ing dire.

It would be Pro Wrestling or WrestleMania for NES. Probably rented Pro Wrestling and TECMO World Wrestling a dozen times.

I don't have any real memory of playing, but I think this one for the NES. Pretty sure I never owned it, but a friend did. However I do remember owning and playing both WWF RAW and Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game on the SNES

I believe WrestleMania Challenge on NES. I enjoyed it. Was my friends copy, remember trading video games with a friend? Asked for it for Christmas. I got WrestleMania instead…it was not as good. Wrestlemania Challenge was my first as well. My cousin had rented it. I had no idea there was a wrestling Nintendo game. I thought it was the coolest thing ever even though I was very young, so I don’t know if I could even figure out how to play it. Just seeing WWF wrestlers in Nintendo form was mind blowing enough at the time.

I remember my older cousin would bring his N64 whenever he visited and introduced me to Wrestlemania 2000 when I was 9 or 10. He refused to teach me how to play and basically used me to get wins and I guess feel better about himself for beating a 10 year old who had no idea what he was doing. Only once I beat him by mashing everything with no rhyme or reason and he got so mad he never brought his N64 ever again.
First time I actually learned how to play a wrestling game was Smackdown 1.

One of the old WWF arcade games. I forget the name.
On home consoles, it was WCW Nitro on a friend's Playstation, and I actually liked it at the time despite its infamous reputation. Maybe it's because I only had a N64 at the time and was impressed by the video promos by wrestlers on the character select screen.

WCW/NWO World Tour
Instead of doing Cub Scout stuff, we just played my friend's N64 and that game. Damn good times.

I was wondering if anybody else had played Mat Mania. I played this every chance I got at a mall that was already a dead mall in the mid-80s. I have this on my PS4. Fortunately, while the game is certainly hard, adult me can go a lot further without continuing than 8-year old me did. Now, what channel is Lawerence Welk on?
