Watched it in full for the first time and it rules. Crowd was hot as hell too.
Going full wacky on the No DQ/Falls Count Anywhere stipulation was brilliant. I'm satisfied with that being the last Iron Man.

You must have missed the part where many here were physically ill over the idea of a 60-minute Cena v Orton match. Might be worth revisiting now that both are beloved elder statesmen of the sport.

It was a fun one!
I'll always remember the hype video having the song with the lyric "I was made to taste your lips, we were made to never fall awayyyy" (yes they had a clip of Orton kissing the title there but I will associate that line with Cena and Orton forever LMAO)

I haven't seen it since it happened but I remember heavily disliking it at the time. Doubt that would change if I watched it now given 1), I just dislike Iron Man matches as a concept outright and am pretty much past the point of being willing to give them a chance to win me over (I think the last one I watched was the awful Hardys / Bar one and I'm basically unwilling to ever watch another one), and 2), it's always been really stupid to me that in this match with noted cheating coward heel 2009 Orton he didn't just run the hell away the instant he got ahead on points.

Yeah, whoever thought that the Hardyz should be booked in a Iron Team match should've been smacked upside the head and never booked again. I can maybe think of 4, maybe 5 teams who could make that stipulation work and the Hardyz at their best isn't one of them.

I could have seen Hardyz vs E&C vs Dudleyz working as an Ironman in like 2000-era. The three had enough spots to fill the time and shared history. But, otherwise, yeah, long haul matches are definitely not the Hardyz's strength.

I didn’t get this PPV because I was exhausted by both Cena and Orton by this time, much less them facing each other for (I think) the 4th PPV in a row. Like a year later someone told me that the match was really good. WWE Shop had a $10 DVD sale so I picked up this and some other shows I hadn’t seen. I loved this match from the first time I saw it. Very much like The Rock Vs Triple H Iron Man in that it showed there is much more potential to the Iron Man stipulation than just to be a workrate heavy bout.

Heel runs away after getting a point up, having forgotten about count outs and only manages to return to the ring after he's down by two points or so.

Orton and Cena had very little chemistry, but this match ruled. Probably up there with my favorite iron man matches.
