Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart just do nothing for an hour. That's the most boring match I've ever seen between two such great wrestlers. I feel like it would have been different if I was watching it live not knowing the outcome but I didn't see it until years later and couldn't get into it at all.

In my opinion they booked themselves into a corner. They wanted Hart & Michaels to go the hour, but they needed Shawn to win and they wanted him to win with his move. So they were limited in what they could do. The Triple H vs Rock match from Judgement Day 2000 is much better.

I'll go with one between two guys who haven't been mentioned yet: The Great Khali vs. Cheex from the early days of TNA.

An Iron Man Match that is just roll-ups every 10-20 seconds for the entire 60 minutes. Sure, the end scores would be ridiculously high by the end, and it would be entertaining for like, the first 5 minutes, but it would get very old very quickly.

I remember Punk and Colt Cabana in their very early days supposedly had such a match. The booker had apparently said that one of them was not to kick out if pinned, and so theyr decided to interpret that as having the other score a shitload of points due to them otherwise changing nothing about their game plan. This was ages ago, so I do not remember many details from them telling the story.

Then there's drama, but making it an hour with no falls in an Iron Man match was boring till about the last 10 minutes or so. Having the falls allows for some drama, like in Brock vs Kurt where Brock blasted him with a chair, it gave Kurt a fall but weakened him. You have the face trying to make a comeback against the heel. Bayley vs Sasha with Sasha getting a fall due to countout after tossing Bayley into the screen. Sometimes the face can make the comeback, sometimes they can't. But having a match with no falls is boring.

I have seen many limited wrestlers get over in a small area, look at all those Monsters Lawler faced in Memphis. 911 is the only one I have seen that was that over with a huge group.

Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart just do nothing for an hour. THANK YOU. I watched it at the time and I think once since it was on the network, and it bored me to tears. I might have such an aversion to it given the HOF talent in the match. The rock vs HHH one from 2000 is my WWE go to iron man match.

But having a match with no falls is boring. Especially when the whole gimmick is that there can be as many falls as possible. If they did that after they had done a few Iron Man matches they might've gotten away with it. Say if the Cena vs HBK match that went an hour was an Iron Man and Shawn won at the last minute it would've made it unique and unexpected. Having the very first match of its kind end in a nil all draw and going to overtime kinda just ruins the whole point of the gimmick in my opinion.

Iron Man match where one guy gets like a 19-0 lead in the first 20 minutes and it never comes close to evening out for the remainder of the match.
