Recent documents have been discovered, and have revealed that one of the great victories and battles of The Civil War was all thanks to a character who's exploits were a mystery until just now.
In the year 1862, with The Civil War in a deadlock, President Lincoln entrusted Bugs with a vital mission. He was to sneak into The Southern part of the country and make his way to the port city of New Orleans, which was vital in sending supplies throughout The South and its capture would be a critical factor in deciding the war.
Munching on a Carrot, and filled with loyalty to The Union, Bugs accepted the task.
His first task was to sneak into The Confederacy through The Mason Dixon Line, which was under heavy guard by Colonel Yosemite Sam, infamous for his short temper and hatred of Rabbits. Knowing he could not match him in firepower, Bugs opted to manipulate him. He dared him to step over a line, which would lead him over to a cliff. Sam's last words as he plummeted below were of how he hated that razzin frazzin rabbit.
Bugs was recorded saying after doing so. "Ain't I a stinker?"
He continued on his mission, soon arriving in Louisiana. But he discovered the job would not be easy. Louisiana was under heavy guard by Florida, The Sunshine State blocking and preventing any attempts at capturing it even if all The Union Navy Ships attacked. For a week Bugs pondered how he could do it when the idea came to him. Which sounded preposterous to many historians.
Taking a saw he cut Florida off, cutting off the entire state from the land and sending it drifting off to sea. As seen here in this recreation.
With the way now clear, he had Lieutenant Runner deliver a message to Washington, who avoided an ambush by General Wile en-route to Union forces. Union ships would soon capture New Orleans, a great victory for The North.
Bugs Bunny however would not be able to enjoy the fruits of his labor. As he made his way back North, he took a wrong turn at Albuquerque and was captured by Confederate Soldiers.
He would spend the rest of the war in a Southern Prison
