It genuinely baffles me when people are still snide towards the Bucks at this point If you don't like them, fair enough, but to still see people be snide towards them (And even me for respecting how they treated Sting, so fun by the way) is just off-putting You'd think these men effected peoples lives on a personal level with the way they react towards them. I promise you the two dudes from Rancho Cucamonga California haven't ruined wrestling forever or made you divorce your family, you've just made it your scapegoat lmfao I'm generally in the position of "Not really a big fan of their schtick, but otherwise have nothing against them". Also open to the whole "on-camera EVP" thing becoming a switch-up from the whole "You think we're killing the business, U MAD BRO?" thing.

Just the fact that someone would compare The Bucks to some of the worst occurances in wrestling history shows just how much The Bucks have shattered people's brains simply by their mere existence.

They haven't even done the KILLING THE BUSINESS thing in years, they didn't even really do that in AEW far as I can remember If people are still pissed off about a shtick they did a decade ago in New Japan and in ROH then some wrestling fans hold onto shit worse than the Hatfields and the McCoys did lmfao

I met the Young Bucks at an Indy event in 2012, super nice guys btw, and I wish I could have told them exactly what they would do to people with the knowledge I know now lmfao

I don’t always love them but I appreciate that they did the job last night and did it well. They’re a great team even if they’re not always my cup of tea. They’ve been part of a lot of the best tag matches in the company and I can’t take that away from them.

Some of the takes I’m currently seeing places like Reddit and Twitter about last night’s main event are so outlandish I’m having trouble believing they aren’t satire.

Right? There's a huge difference between "this isn't for me" and "this sucks and shouldn't be for anyone" and some pro wrestling fans really struggle at recognising the difference. It makes discussing wrestling exhausting sometimes.

It is like an impossible challenge to even make jokes about wrestlers or support others without people getting extremely offended on either end of the spectrum. It is... harrowing.

On Bucks Derangement Syndrome what I always find funny is after reading the Bucks' book the whole reason they came up with the gimick that got them over was they were tired of how toxic fans were to them (and also Roddy/Danielson beating the crap out of them for real to try and get them sympathy) that they said "if people are gonna hate us, we're just going to do cool stuff"

BDS AND certain tennis enthusiast and the cultists (though I know the Venn diagram of that is a single f***ing circle at this point) being the continual driving force of it is truly some next level toxicity. I keep coming back to the fact that Sting hand picked them to be his final opponents. In a rational world that would be the death blow for BDS…what with Sting being pretty much universally loved and respected in wrestling fandom circles. But…a lot of wrestling fandom doesn’t exist in a rational world and, in general, these are not rational times. *sigh*

None of it. Like, I think they'd have ended up in WWE eventually or something, sure, but not as big time players.

My take on the Bucks is that I'm a "wrestling needs the framework of it being a legitimate competition with rules" for me to be entertained. How the Bucks wrestle is the antithesis of that a lot of the time, so I find them very frustrating. I don't mind the flippy shit, that stuff's great. It's the stuff like not tagging in and out properly, or spots where it makes no sense from the competition standpoint. (A good example of this one: the spot in the Lucha Bros cage match where they were just superkicking each other in the circle. No-one was going for pins or anything, so I was like "this is pointless filler")
But they seem to be nice guys, and a lot of people like them in ring. I've enjoyed some of their matches too, the one with FTR where they were hitting Attitude Era tag finishers on FTR while FTR were hitting 80s tag finishers on them was a great fun match.
People are allowed to not like wrestlers, and for any reason. Wrestling is art, and art is inherently subjective. But hating a wrestling act because of how they wrestle seems a bit much.

I don't know if they go this route, but that one's easy. "We got you Okada. Without us, he'd be in Orlando, jobbing to a guy WE let go (example : Lexis King) for not being good enough for us!" Yeah Okada’s long established friendship with them sells that on its own. And if it leads to (in my fantasy booking mind) Okada winning the title and going corporate champion & aligning with them then building to something where the remaining EVP…the rational one…the one whose been off tv for a minute….the one who has a long history in the ring with Okada putting on 9 star classic after 9 star classic…is the one fighting for the soul of it all? Perfect. Chefs kiss. *makes weird groaning noises* I WANT THIS! Edit: Also people who complain about them having no psychology clearly don't watch their matches. Matt sold his damn back for like 10 years. That's long term storytelling folks.

He’s sold that back for so long, I literally remember where I was and when for watching the match where he first injured said back.

Important to note that Sting brought his two grown sons thus making it a handicap match and I think our EVPs should be angry about that.

Matt sold his damn back for like 10 years. That's long term storytelling folks. Yeah, I think they have some of the best psychology in all of wrestling, personally. It's just not "old school" psychology. They absolutely sell when they get hurt, both in and outside of matches, it's just sometimes they get hurt by doing contrived spots that look a little too choreographed for some people. I won't ever knock anyone for having a difference of opinion on that. I will point out that the Drive-Thru types generally tend to hold Ric Flair on a pedestal as the greatest in-ring worker of all time, and he is literally best known for using some of the most unrealistically choreographed spots in wrestling history in pretty much every single one of his matches for 3+ decades, so I do think some of the Bucks hate on that front is disingenuous.
