For me I'd say that the Intercontinental title run (and surrounding period) and the post-Rhodes Scholars face run were the two closest periods to where I felt like he could break out into being the main-eventer I long thought he had in him, but the latter run was pretty damn short before it got derailed with Stardust, which I hated vehemently even at the time, so I'm definitely more inclined to say the IC Champion period. Plus before his current aesthetic the white gear was probably his best look.
Dashing and Undashing were both also a lot of fun though. And really Legacy was pretty decent when it wasn't being bogged down in how damn boring Orton's matches were in that period.
