Eve Torres toiled for about five years as a Diva Search winner and perennial competitor in bikini contests and costume battle royals, and then in her last year in the WWE she suddenly got really good in the ring. And then promptly left, much to my chagrin. Kaitlyn/Torres was low-key the most solid feud of what was generally a pretty lackluster time for the product. Kaitlyn vs. Eve and AJ Lee were two of the better feuds in the "divas" era.

Trish Stratus, Cena, and Undertaker. You could really put every great worker on this list. I'm sure none of them were that good when they first started. I say that Brock was good when he first debuted. During his rookie year, he had great battles with The Rock, Undertaker, Hardy Boyz and RVD while even giving Big Show and Test some of their best matches ever. Lesnar at a very young age had the athleticism and agility while being a total freak of nature as well. Him doing a shooting star press for someone his size was amazing. Brock was so talented early in his career as he became WWE champion while being the Face of WWE (besides Triple H). Just like Brock, Randy Orton was so talented early in his career as he had great in-ring skills while had the natural charisma and amazing mic skills as the Legend Killer. Orton was able to put out great matches with the likes of Foley, Benoit, Edge, HBK, RVD and the Undertaker at a very young age. His great in-ring work skills is one of the key parts that made Randy Orton a huge top star and main eventer in WWE at the very young age of 24 and he remained in the main event scene and top guy spot ever since. I'm sure when Orton and Brock started having matches in OVW, they weren't that good.

The modern example has to be Liv Morgan. She was never a bad wrestler in the way that, say, Commander Azeez was a bad wrestler, but she was very inexperienced and debuted on the main roster much earlier than anyone probably should. When the Riott Squad debuted in 2017, - Ruby had worked 6 years in the indies followed by about 1 year in NXT - Sarah Logan had 5 years in the indies followed by about 1 year in NXT - Liv had about 2.5 years in NXT and nothing else. About 1/3 of that time she was either working as a jobber or not on the show at all.
Liv was meant to be to the Riott Squad what Virgil was to the NWO: someone to get beat up by the babyface while the actual stars on the team make their getaway. And yet, Liv has far surpassed both of her teammates.

They're probably more like good or very good, but: Nikki Bella Mandy Rose (Very similar to Nikki) Liv Morgan Jacy Jayne Lash Legend and Lola Vice have also been starting to put it together recently. I can't really think of any men off the top of my head right now. Those are all good choices for the women as far as improvement goes. Interesting that three of them started as the jabroni member of three women heel groups (Mandy in Absolution, Liv in Riott Squad, and Jacy in Toxic Attraction).
