What would you say is your favorite mania ending? I think looking at it at the time, the Mania 20 ending is the best. Two friends who spent years climbing to the top of the industry after being overlooked and now holding both of the world titles. It’s a damn shame what happened later.

Top 3 would be 20….in current knowledge it gets taken down a bit because f*** Benoit, but at the time it was completely surreal…
30 was an all timer because it was crazy to see Bryan Danielson of all people given the keys to effectively be THE guy for the E…
17 was just stacked with symbolism to me…seeing Austin celebrating with Vince, just let you know that the attitude era was done for….

3. The slamming of Andre is a moment for all eternity.
That 12 foot tall 900lb undefeated giant was slammed for the very first time in front of 30 million Hulkamaniacs right there in the Superdome!

It’s not up there with the likes of 20 and 30 but I’ve always loved the end of 13. The Undertaker wins the title and holds up the belt, points to the fans and tells them that “this is for you”. It was great because this was still in the Deadman gimmick where Taker didn’t show much emotion, he was still a “monster”. He’d had a pretty tough previous year with Mankind making him seem vulnerable and then Paul Bearer betrayed him. He didn’t really have anyone he could trust but there was someone who never turned their back on him and that was the fans. It was simple but great storytelling and with the Kane storyline about to start, as he had shown some genuine emotion before it started, it gave the angle more heart.

Sid/Taker isn’t a classic but it’s not awful, the 6 man brawl is a clusterf*** but it’s a damn fun clusterf***, the undercard matches I’ll accept aren’t really matches worthy of being at Mania but none of them are offensive, just forgettable. And of course there’s the epic Bret/Austin match which elevates the entire event. I think it’s a better show than 11, 12, 14, 15 and even 16, certainly better than its buyrate for sure.

8. In the days before the Internet, there was no finding out what happened to wrestlers who vanish from the company. Seeing Warrior come out and make the save and him and Hogan standing tall as pyro goes off (a rarity in those days) felt incredible.
I also have to give props to 31. It had been a surprisingly good show, but was ready for a fan revolt in the main event. Then Seth comes out, does the first mid-match MITB cash-in, and the first ever at Mania, heist of the century, show is saved.

30 by leagues and miles. If Kofi/Bryan had main evented 35, that'd be a close second.

10, because it felt like the WWF was finally moving away from Hulkamania.

'Mania 15 for Vince McMahon's saddest day
'Mania 17 for Austin's heel turn
'Mania 19, marred by Brock's concussion slightly
'Mania 20, marred by the tragedy that befell both men
'Mania 24 with 'Taker and Edge closing out one of the best cards
'Mania 30 for YES movement supremacy
'Mania 31 for the heist of the century.
'Mania 34 for WWE taking the L and giving up on Reigns again
'Mania 35 for Kofimania and Becky's coronation

Yeah 13 gets a lot of crap but it's one of the better shows from that year. Just not a great Wrestlemania. Bret/Austin and the 6 man tag are great, the main event is a decent 'big man's match, the Mankind/Vader Vs Davey/Owen match is solid, besides the finish. The only match I can't be bothered to rewatch is the 4 corners tag match.

X has that great ending with Bret being hoisted up as The Man and then that shot of Owen. And I love that the faces invited him in because hey, your brother overcame the bullshit and became WWF Champ again, come celebrate! And Owen is like this son of a bitch stole my thunder again.
XXX has the great shot of Bryan with the belts, the B+ Player showing the assholes in charge how wrong they were.
