I am not a follower of the weekly ROH program, since it's a separate subscription cost. But it seems like Tony Khan already has everyone with an ROH title, except Athena, competing on the main roster. Why not dedicate time to either Dynamite or Collision promoting this PPV? It seems like this pay-per-view exists inside a vacuum. Unless you are a diehard fan who follows everything wrestling-related immensely, you would barely know there's a pay-per-view going up against Smackdown and the Hall of Fame WrestleMania weekend.
Tonk Khan could have Mark Briscoe come out on Dynamtie or Collision and cut a promo about how much the ROH title meant to his brother and how he's winning the title in honor of his brother to keep his family's legacy alive. Then you could have Eddie Kingston distraught over losing the Continental title. He's vowed not to lose another title and claims to do what it takes to hold on to the ROH belt. This is a program that could have used a good, lengthy, solid build. Instead, all we got so far to my knowledge is a YouTube video promo from Eddie shot a week ago, which looks like it was taken from a cell phone camera in his hotel room.
Then, there's the issue with the other matches. We are two weeks away from this show and there are only two other matches announced. Now, I am getting flashbacks of ECW December to Dismember.

It is my understanding that Tony Khan basically needs the okay from the network for what ROH stuff he does, and that they have limitations on what they want to greenlight.
Ring of Honor is still technically a different company, after all, and Warner has, so far, not expressed interest in it. Khan has said he has not shopped it around elsewhere, but they have to be aware that he could, and that probably plays a part in them not wanting to promote it too much, too.

Yeah a big problem for awhile was AEW was having too many ROH branded matches, and while not confirmed, it sounds like WBD strongly pushed back against it. They obviously want nothing to do with ROH, since AEW is who they are promoting and such.

He'd get pelters for heavily promoting ROH on AEW TV, you only have to look at how people lose their minds at the guys merely wearing their belts. Right now they're in the middle of establishing a new era, they've got a new look, some huge new signings and have had a bunch of awesome shows following on from one of the best PPV's ever, it'd be incredibly risky to start trying to incorporate ROH storylines without a) antagonising people and b) jeopardising the momentum they have on screen.
I don't watch ROH weekly but watch some of the PPV's and they're usually outstanding, I'd very surprised if this resembled December to Dismember in any way.

I hope TK eventually sells the idea of ROH to another network, if Warner really doesn't want f*** all to do with it, then Khan should just get more money somewhere else
There's gotta be some cable Networks or Streaming Services that'd bite. He's probably waiting until he has a bulletproof AEW extension though

Finally getting some more matches on this show, as Kyle Fletcher vs. Lee Johnson for the TV Title and Mina Shirakawa, Maika, & Mei Seira vs. Saya Kamitani, Tam Nakano, & AZM have been announced!

ROH is in a really weird position, but I do honestly think TK is making the best of it right now. Let's see what happens

Would rather watch just about anything else other than Fletcher/Lee Johnson but the rest of the card is working for me.

"I think this show is poorly promoted even though I don't watch the weekly show where most of said promotion is likely taking place" is certainly a take to have.

Yes, because I don't think it's worth dropping $9.99 a month on a wrestling product that's a glorified Collision pre show. Yet, the major players in ROH like Kingston and Briscoe are working on AEW prime time tv, and there's zero acknowledgment of what's happening in ROH or any interaction between them on the AEW shows.
Yet, the only thing I can find on Youtube outside the ROH Honor Club paywall about the build for Kingston/Briscoe is a Kingston promo from 7 days ago that's currently at 12k views, another from two weeks ago at 14K views, and a Briscoe promo from yesterday that's at 8.4k views.
I understand the Honor Club predates the AEW acquisition. But, having an ROH show that's taped before Collision be the only new wrestling content on a streaming service and not have a streaming service with original content from your main show product is like if WWE had a separate streaming service just for NXT Level Up.

The issue is not having ROH belts on AEW tv, but that ROH belts are treated like they are integrated with the AEW belts. Since, I don't subscribe to ROH, let me ask you this. Have they done anything on AEW TV with an ROH title holder that's been a lead-in or a hook to get someone to subscribe to Honor Club? For instance, an ROH champion and his challenger have a stare-down. The Dymantie announcers mention something like "If you want to see this showdown, you better turn in next week to ROH?" I know Athena the women's champion and she's been exclusive to ROH for a while. But for the most part, are all the top guys who are currently ROH champions exclusive to wrestling on AEW TV? Is ROH tv even having matches with many of the current ROH champions or is it all just the leftovers who aren't crossing over to Dynamite or Collision? And again, you have the ROH champion who is always on AEW TV. You have the ROH challenger who is always on AEW TV. Is there any reason other than Warner Media is not allowing it that there has been no promotion of this SuperCard of Honor Main Event on AEW TV? Someone remarked, "Why would AEW promote an ROH PPV on Dynamite or Collision when ROH is supposed to be treated like a separate company?" My answer is, "Because they are putting ROH guys on those shows in the first place." Explain where my logic is flawed.

Thanks for the clarification. Maybe this is just me Monday morning armchair quarterbacking, but those Youtube promos that Kingston and Briscoe did that currently haven't broken over 12k views should have been a top-of-the-second-hour segment on Dynamite, an in ring face off. Tony Khan is going into WWE's territory next week. I feel you should go heavy or go home!

I've said before that I totally get people not wanting to pay for Honor Club if it's just the weekly show, but at least now the PPVs are included, which does help a lot. Still could use more, though; keep saying it, but I want ROH at a point where it can do some of its own standalone specials for Honor Club, maybe something that amounts to a B-tier PPV card once a month or so, to go along with Supercard/DBD/Final Battle/etc.
Guessing a lot of that can't really move until all this stuff about streaming and media rights for AEW and whatnot are hammered out; while WBD hasn't been interested in having ROH on TV, it wouldn't shock me if they're part of the negotiations for a spot on Max.

Warner doesn't want him advertising his other, paywalled subscription service promotion on their content, though. They're paying for AEW, not giving him a blank canvas to run whatever other stuff he wants. Tony put ROH titles onto popular AEW guys to get the belts some play and that's something he's seemingly able to get away with, but if the network don't want him advertising his special Only Tony Khan Gets This Money PPVs, considering the stake they have in AEW PPVs through Bleacher Report sales, then he can't do the heavy PR blitz you think he should do. If Eddie is a draw, then the network wants people tuning in to their show to get Eddie Kingston, not to be told to go buy a PPV somewhere else where Eddie wrestles for 'another show'.

I was kind of regretting buying SOH tickets, but the card is really shaping up to be really good. Billie/Aminata, Athena/Shida, and the addition of the Stardom trios elevates it to great. I'm super stoked for the show.

I love AEW passionately, but they need to change their handling of ROH. Here are my suggestions :
1-ROH should tape shows at a small venue.
2-ROH Champions should not appear on Dynamite or Collision.
By the way I am not ordering the PPV. I will save my money for Dynasty!
