Last night I dreamed I got a multi-film DVD set because one of the movies was Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. I get home and pop it in and decide to watch Wonka first since I was familiar with it.
Only the movie is all different and is a lot more like Cloak & Dagger (1984), I guess because I saw that in real life much more recently and maybe my subconscious got a wire crossed. All I remember is Jack Albertson (the guy who played Grandpa Joe) is in it, but he’s not Grandpa Joe. He’s Willy Wonka. He takes Charlie (who is the same as in the real movie) to the mall to do some shopping.
At the mall Charlie sees some suspicious guys and it’s revealed they’re actually Russian spies. Charlie finds this out by catching them talking menacingly on walkie talkies when they think no one else is there. Charlie tells Wonka but Wonka doesn’t believe him.
A short time later the Russian spies are chatting on the walkie talkies again, but this time Charlie and Wonka just stumble into them. Wonka now believes Charlie, but it’s too late. One of the Russian spies takes out a gun and they take Charlie and Wonka to a Russian prison.
Around this time I remember thinking, “When the hell are they going to get to the chocolate factory?” Anyway, in Russian prison Charlie and Wonka hatch an escape plan. They quickly get caught and then…the movie just ends.
I remembered the original movie and how it was so different from whatever I just watched. I check the back of the DVD box and it’s, “Revenge of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory”

I haven't had this but I remember I had a dream that felt like the pilot episode of a tv show:
A young person is on vacation in Cuba or a similar destination. They’re partying with some people, getting progressively more drunk, admitting things they shouldn’t. At one point the people reveal their true intentions, they’ve been filming the interactions and intend to make her death look like a suicide. At one point I think they were going to throw the person in front of a train. Keep in mind it’s a dream, so dream logic. The person survives whatever it was thanks to some brilliant neurosurgeon (I think that’s what she was) who then took a personal interest in her recovery. Months later the survivor seems mostly alright, though her mobility is somewhat limited. However, any time she looks at stars an interface will give her information about them including names. Not all of the stars have this info. Due to dream logic I think this was happening while she was at an interview. The twist is that at the end of the pilot, we see the people who tried to kill her in the first place on a spaceship. They remark that they’re getting unusual readings despite the fact that the process killed her brain. It then pans over to see the same person who survived strapped to a table or chair with some kind of head gear, apparently being used as some kind of biological computer for navigation.

Yeah it was black and white, shot on colour film. It started Nicolas Cage and Hayley Mills. The country lost the war because they accidentally made all the submarines out of styrofoam.

Yours sounds funner then mine! It even has an intriguing twist ending. If you look at my dream I mean all that action could have happened in like 10 minutes. It’s just Charlie and Willy Wonka going to a mall, running into Russian spies, getting caught, and failing to escape. But like you said dream logic, so I guess my subconscious thought that was enough to constitute a movie.

Yeah, I was really into it, when I woke up I immediately thought, oh man I gotta write this down. I definitely lost some of the details but even what I recalled was definitely a show that I'd be interested in.

If had a few, one was called Superman vs Terminator with original terminator Arnie fighting against Chrisopher Reeve. another was a comedy involving Sean Connery and Donald duck together as a police duo in a who shot roger rabbit style movie where they had to unmask a corrupt politician who turns out to be Mr bean.

I once had a dream that I was watching a version of Ghostbusters where my brain apparently combined the first and second movies, and they were controlling the Statue of Liberty and using it to fight the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

I wish your second dream was a real movie.
Though I'd be cool with Daniel Craig.

I dreamt that I was a movie producer and hired Vince Russo to write a movie. He showed up on set and kept changing the script while it was being filmed. The director quit and Russo took over.
The movie played for one night at SXSW and it was a bomb. It wasn't even good enough to be laughable, it was just nonsensical garbage.
The next night the 'behind the scenes' documentary for the movie was played and it was a hit. Comedy gold.
