Parker is a crappy case because NXT pushed him onto TV before he was ready and for some perplexing reason Tony thought Parker was a good pickup in that primordial form, hired him, put him on TV, and watched him stink up every joint. He wasnt' ready for any sort of place in either company and now he's burned otu both and an audience who watched him get no real training before being tossed out there. I don't think he was ever going to be good, mind you, but nobody really let him try.

I mean, Gravity was clearly not ready for a major contract and was hired because his brother is Bandido. I thought that Jora Johl's contract had quietly expired and he left ages ago. yeah Gravity and Parker were for sure not ready for the level they were hired to be on and tbh I forgot Jora Johl existed until I read he was released. When was the last time he did something? 2021?

When was the last time he did something? 2021? Jora Johl teamed with Nick Comoroto to lose against The Infantry at the end of July last year. That was his last official act under AEW contract as went on to do some Immortal Championship Wrestling shows, including holding their title for a couple months.

Mutli-millionaire Edge really did a 2019 Seth Rollins style speech against negativity when part of that negativity was due to aew firing people?
Tone deaf.

I took it more as in reference to Punk's interview Was clearly a comment in reference to Punk. Also felt more or less like an enjoy wrestling thing. Also having listened to what SRS said the Parker comments were not AEW saying that as to him getting released, it was a separate comment he made later where he said for some of the young guys he hopes it's a chance for guys like him, Jora, and Gravity to go out and improve and then said Parker had a lot of work to do still. Ironically both SRS and Jimmy Van agreed with not releasing people like Miro as they feel it sets a precedent

Will Henry want to come back? Lol. EDIT: Guess so! And the Tates one is just weird. I know I'm arguing semantics, but Miro sits at home for months on end because he doesn't like his booking plans but he's still employed? C'mon. At least be consistent

At least be consistent It really depends on the contract terms. I'm guessing that Miro's contract makes it a lot more painful on AEW's end to give him an early release versus lower end workers like the Tates. I'm not even sure if they had full time contracts or PPA deals.

Really amusing myself at the idea of Dalton Castle's human stairs The Boys going big time and no showing ROH.

So sounds like Parker/Gravity-Just not impressing people
Slim J/Jora-Weren't being used
Henry-TK admits bad call and will bring him back
The Boys- No show your job enough times you'll get fired

Outside of some memorable flubs (and they just happen with live broadcasts, even with the best), she was generally good at her job. She was really well liked backstage. She did a lot of stuff with AEW Heels and charity stuff. Out of all of the releases, that one seemed the most unnecessary.

I'm not a big fan of TKs handling of the Anthony Henry thing, if you're not using a guy and you encourage people to take bookings so they can get paid, shouldn't you cover them too, especially when there's precedent of him doing so (Mark Davis?) I'm not a big fan of the takes in here that think it's okay for TK not to cover it, especially if Henry is on a PPA deal which means he only makes money for AEW when he's used. Not everyone can be on the top earner salary and sit home. People gotta earn a living.
Also if the Boys thing is true big whiff there on their part and TK is more than justified on releasing them.

Her and Jose didn't make sense on a surface level. Jose was managing a decent stable that just hadn't been used in a second because of injuries and Dasha felt like she had a hand in a lot of stuff in the company. Definitely happy Anthony will be back though.
