Loses against the Elite Again.
Stu is Released.
Tay Conti & Anna leave Dark order for JAS....do absolutely nothing.
Preston Vance leaves to join the Los Ingorbenables...Rose(Not RUSH,my bad) gets released and LIJ disbanded.
Uno, Alex and Silver seem to start a reboot of the Dark Order, gets dropped after a week.

RUSH was not released, he's still with AEW, Jose was released, that's a big difference lol, not sure what LFI might do though, might just be RUSH going forward
It is a shame what happened to them, I gotta admit. Them going heel felt like a final blow of sorts when they didn't go back to recruiting
They could still be good faces, they could still be good heels if allowed to be, they still put on good matches, and could still factor into a lot of storylines, but they currently do not, outside of taking over BTE, and even those weeks have spotty content lengths due to whatever reason or another
I don't think Stu leaving was on them if he just refused to do a segment like reported, that probably f***ed up their plans after the Righteous feud though, but they should be able to recruit lower card guys into the group and inflate the numbers again. Big issue is they don't seem to trust any of these guys as A GUY to lead them to the next level like Brodie was, and after Hangman adjacently, they haven't tried again with someone else who could.

dark order and hangman with that kickass entrance could’ve skyrocketed all of them to new heights as something different but in the end, it didn’t happen and it sucks that it didn’t. no one could ever accuse of Tony not liking them behind the scenes but as for on tv, I legit think he just got bored of them at some point.

The first time he left it was also because he didn't feel like he was doing what he should be and had fallbacks, this feels like the same thing happened.

They didn't need to be world beaters, but they got extremely over through BTE and helped AEW through a dark period. Shit, just give them a few wins and/or matches that mean something and that would have been better than what we got.
Hell, when Uno had that match with Mox, I thought it was gonna be the start of something, but alas they were exiled into ROH.
At least we got that amazing Dark Order entrance with Hangman's Tale..

Feel like there were multiple times they could've been a thing and just at every possible turn, be it while Brodie was TNT Champion or the Hangman run or when that fell off, it went nowhere and they were just used as total jokes. And in a way I kind of feel vindication about it because even at the time I was saying these guys were consistently being completely wasted and people kept telling me to bear with it.

Their ONE W was "buying" Being The Elite and turning it into their own show, but other than that they've been criminally under used.
I still hold out hope of them getting a brief Trios title run

Yeah, this is an act where the booking just feels like it's failed them for no reason at this point. Even with ROH, they've been inconsistently featured.
I did see some folks say earlier that Uno and Stu could've been tag champs earlier in AEW, but I do think it has to be pointed out that pre-Brodie, Dark Order had some perception issues. Personally, I dug the act from the get-go, always thought Uno and Stu were a well-oiled machine when it came to tag psychology, but between people ragging on Uno's looks and stuff like the "phantom punches" spot, there were people writing them off early on for a good while.
But then they got the house in order, first as a heel act with Brodie, then as a babyface act with Hangman...but then no real follow-up, and no real reason why? Silver and Reynolds are still a great team, Uno's worked some really solid singles matches lately, they're a great trio, the crowd still responds to them when they enter...at this point, what are we waiting for to give them something consistent to do?
End of the day, I get that you simply can't fit everybody at all times, it happens in a big company, but I can't really figure this out.

Also going to point out how much Uno hustled to promote the video game in production... only to not be featured in the game and likely never will be at this rate.

I have to wonder if TK hated them for their beginnings. The weird gimp stuff was... uh something, then they pivoted to the cult stuff with an Elite feud set in motion just for that awful beat down and negative fan reaction to derail it.
The booking just feels like spite booking a majority of the time. Even after Brodie came in, it seemed like it was about to be salvaged but the group (minus Brodie) continued to be jokes. It took pressure from the boys to get Silver featured due to his following from BTE. Once Brodie passed they attached themselves to Hangman... just to once again be jokes. The group was red hot despite constant losses going into the 10 man tag with Hangman just to be folded.
They regularly continue to lose Brodie Lee tribute matches. They were inserted into a feud with the Elite/BCC despite being no where near their level.
It's some baffling booking.

Very depressing. And a hell of a fumble. TBF, they were comedy jobbers but they’d really gotten over and connected/endeared themselves with the fans.
It’s not like they all needed belts…but it certainly shouldn’t have played out the f***ing way it did.
A buddy of mine and I have an inside joke where he’ll message me Monday desperately trying to get me to watch “BTDO” and I profusely tell him to f*** off.

Yeah, that's what really pisses me off. I know the guys tend to be pretty modest, Uno probably most of all, but there is no valid reason to not have him in the game. Like, because of his mask, even, making him in the game would probably be CONSIDERABLY cheaper than most. But, nope, they didn't even try. And then you have the trios titles that the Acclaimed has basically done nothing with for most of their reign, meanwhile Alex, Uno, and Silver are right there and would probably readily agree to do whatever was asked of them. I am glad Uno has his Mystery Wrestling promotion he has fun with, because Tony Khan has never really recognized what he's got with him.

The Dark Order were the perfect group to be apart of the re-start of ROH. They had some name value, were strong enough in the ring to fit the brand and provided some character. Sadly that whole show is disjoined as hell. They did have a killer hardcore match with the Righteous at an ROH PPV though. Ironically, Stu was with the Righteous, not DO.

I've said it in previous threads but rarely using John Silver remains one of the most baffling booking choices in recent memory. In or out of the Dark Order.
If nothing else he could have been used to warm the crowd up at the bottom of the card. Although I think his ceiling was much higher at the peak of his popularity.
Hell even now have him challenge Edge for the tnt title this week and I'm sure the crowd would get right behind him.

Isn't Silver in the game, too? Like, of the Dark Order, I understand if those two were high priority, but the entire f***ing gimmick name came from Evil Uno in the first place.

The perfect example of
1.How amazing AEW were at getting their own wrestlers over in 2020 and 2021
2. How bad they've been since at it
