Another question. When did that podcaster JDNY206 get on WWE’s payroll? What a sap. I've never liked JDNY206. There're some views I have on him that are...colourful, shall we say? lol But yes, he's a sap.

It won't make the slightest bit of difference. None. People will just go, "Doctored!", or, "Out of context!", just like they ignore all of the other shit he publicly did. This video isn't accomplishing shit but making them look more bush league for bothering to keep playing this game with him. More bush league? WWE is a cult. Any push back on WWE is considered bush league. LOL! Go get him Tony Khan. Fire away. Show the footage. Show what a lunatic CM Punk truly is…go for the jugular. You could try addressing the actual point I'm trying to make instead of just going LOL over and over, might actually be making some kind of point. As it is it's just going to lead to people who don't care what Punk did continuing not to care what Punk did.

Oh also surely Wembley owns the footage, not Tony? Are they going to let some wrestling company show it?
I need to lie down, thinking about this is giving me a headache

I haven’t watched him enough to know what his deal is but he’s basically screaming at the camera, he seems so angry I remember watching him a few years back, only 2 episodes of his RAW review. He was shouty in both, first one I gave him a pass since I thought ''ok, maybe he just REALLY didn't like this RAW'' but the second one was like ''nah, this dude's a dick.'' so I stopped after that and then later found out about some of the stuff he's said and like, yep, I'm glad I've stopped watching the idiot.

I don't know which I want more: this to actually be the All In footage & they turn it into a way to bring Jungle Boy back or the most Young Bucks being the biggest Young Bucks trolls they possibly can be

I disagree with you. Show the footage. All of it and bury Punk’s ass. Especially if it shows him lunging at TK. You want to keep protecting Punk? Be my guess. Burn his ass Tony Khan.

The thing is I really doubt it'll make a damn bit of difference. The evidence is already overwhelming that Punk's a massive piece of shit. People know. They don't care. It doesn't matter. He won. Dwelling on it just makes you look pathetic. No one will have their mind changed by this because if they would then the muffin-fueled meltdown or calling out Hangman repeatedly or the time he punched a fan would actually mean something to these idiots. It's basically the same shit WWE pulled when they put the video of Punk's ass and everyone rightfully ripped on them for that one. Honestly, let's be real...
It ain't going to get Punk fired from WWE nor will it get Punk sued or anything as I'm sure if that were to happen it would already be in process. It ain't gonna bury Punk either. At most it'll have people hating/joking/shunning him in AEW, fans picking sides and even if people in WWE saw it they'll be like "oh ok wow, welp, he's been good here" and move on. When you've got guys like AJ of all people saying he was already told about Punk from his AEW friends, he thought he'd have a problem in WWE and yet he found out that Punk's fine and he now wants to work with him? That's how most will see it. The people who hate Punk will hate him more, the people who don't care don't care. Like from an onscreen presentation, once Punk shows up on WWE programming he's gonna get cheered and that'll be it. Yeah Drew will make some jokes but shit, he's been doing that. That's pretty much what'll happen with him.
In the Bucks case tho it'll help put them in a positive light which is cool if it's all good. Nothing wrong with that.
That's going with the idea that they'll really show the footage. I can't trust any insiders when it comes the AEW backstage drama because out of all the stuff they've reported that's always been the most hit or miss so I'll see it when I see it.

I'm all for showing Punk up as the fraud he is, but not sure how this will bury Punk though. That's my worry. Unless it's him going for Perry, Perry escaping choke and walking away. Then Punk going ballistic. But even then, I think not enough will care at this point. Instead it is going to just make AEW look bad, like Bischoff challenging Vince to a fight.
I reallt don't like this idea at all. I get Punk has been taking shots all week and I'm sure its annoying but this isn't the way I'd want them to react. Be the better company, don't react and just do what you do.
And even it is a success and pops a rating so what? One week bump and you using Punk to get that. Its very Russo/WCW esque

Wow, this thread exploded since I posted in it.
All I can say is that more people, reporters especially, are being worked by this. So that’s neat.

This comes off as genuinely pathetic. Punk doubtless deserved to get canned and is generally a cantankerous asshole that the wrestling business would be better off without. But using CCTV footage of him attacking a guy that's not been on screen for months months to pop a rating is just pathetic.
It's not about setting the record straight, if it were it would have just been posted on social media after the interview.

Why on the TV show? That’s my biggest issue. If you feel the need to show footage that contradicts Punk’s statements why not release it through the media? How does this improve your television product? Ratings. I think some of this is to get the Ratings back up a bit, Albeit for a week. I hate the Bucks and I fairly like Punk but if they have footage the proves what punk said is wrong, then yeah show it.

Especially if it helps build a character like Jack Perry, who's been referenced by the Bucks for weeks If this isn't the Bucks being the Bucks and trolling

If the reports are to be believed, this isn't to pop a rating and they're legitimately going to show it Regardless I don't see it as pathetic, I see what Punk's done as pathetic. They haven't responded to him in a year and a half, and now they might finally put him on blast. If that's the case? Do it, with the most eyes on it, he brought it on himself for not keeping his damn mouth shut about any of this since it HAPPENED.

Whatever this shows it will only entrench existing opinions - Elite fans will say he's unprofessional, Punk fans will say he was driven to it by the Elite's unprofessionalism.
Full disclosure, I'm in the latter camp. Which is a shame as I really like the idea of AEW and was fully behind it when it launched.
I really don't see releasing the footage as working out for AEW. If it shows that Punk was an out of control maniac, Tony still booked him to beat their future champion after it happened. And Punk was completely professional and calm when in front of the paying fans.
Smacks of Tony Khan being so worried about being popular. Which again supports the idea that it's a nepo-baby's play thing rather than an actual business, sadly.

Actually, it's the manchild who attacked a coworker for doing something that he built his reputation on's fault for attacking his coworker for doing something that he built his reputation on.
