The almost two year run of GUNTHER is over.
Now that the IC title is freed again, do we want Sami to have a healthy and extended run with the title. Or would you prefer short 1-3 month reigns or even 1-2 week reigns and wrestlers constantly coming in and out of the division as champion?
Is there a healthy medium here? What are you expecting out of the IC title, now that it is freed from the reign of GUNTHER.

I'd definitely have Sami lose the belt very soon. This feels like it was just to give him a big moment and something to do while also getting the belt off Gunther the only real chance they had to do it before SummerSlam, winning Money in the Bank and subsequently the World title should really be his actual big moment.

Sami as the charismatic IC champion and Jey the oozing cool challenger who wants the belt. Money. |

Well, Gable said that Zayn owed him a favor, so at the very least I'm expecting a Zayn/Gable match for the title.
Beyond that we'll see. Jey getting it would actually help him be built up more a singles. And even if he's been somewhat of a lower tier recently, and I fully expect people to say I'm crazy for suggesting this: there might be potential in seeing Dominik Mysterio get an IC title run given how he's improved the past couple of years.

Sami to Jey to Jimmy to Gable would make sense as a progression.

Dude kind of had his chance to prove he could hang tonight and he completely blew it, and the fact they had him do the big fakeout swerve and he still got his ass kicked and lost shows how little they really think of protecting him. |

I'd like to see Sami get a few defences in before losing it. That said, I could see Sami as a face defending the title more than just on PPVs. There are several people that would make sense for an IC reign though. Right now I'm figuring Gable and Jey. However, if they're looking to hotshot a bit, Ivar and Bronson Reed might make sense too. Also, is Sheamus injured? It might be nice to get him a reign. That or give Miz his reign.

I'm definitely up for a few shorter reigns now.
I'm not necessarily suggesting that we go back to the days where it seemed to change hands every 2 weeks but not every reign needs to be a long historic reign.
A few shorter reigns..Maybe the odd 100+ one here and there.
Hoping Gable still gets his reign. Honestly wouldn't mind someone like Bronson Reed winning it.
I enjoyed Gunthers reign but would prefer that wasn't a regular thing.
