I think they could bring AR Fox back in if they really wanted to for this and have Swerve apologize to him
But please give me Calvin Tankman like PLEASE.

I definitely think Hangman is coming back as a heel with the Elite to challenge him and I wouldn't be surprised if their big grudge match is at All In. I get wanting to crown Ospreay in his home country but that timing just doesn't work right now for me. My biggest issue is that I just do not think Hangman vs Swerve needs to happen again until Hangman beats him. He already put Swerve over plenty as it is, he doesn't need to turn firmly heel only to have the same result again. That would make for a great match, sure, but kind of buries Hangman.

The Swerve Dynasty has been getting it’s ass handed to it a lot so far.

So. They couldn't have a buffer feud before they started this. Now that they've had them turn on Swerve, I wish we would have at least gotten some build. They could have had shown the rest of the group and Swerve showing some division while giving some time for the rest of the group shine before this. That way when the EVP's really turn up the heat on Swerve, we could have had some time for everyone to adjust to this new direction.

Had to get to this point with the Embassy; hard to make Swerve a full babyface if he's got a trio of jacked up monsters protecting him. Also gives you a bit of intrigue on if Nana is going to stick with him, or if he got paid off, too (guessing he stays with Swerve).
But tying it in with the Bucks works, too; you can basically set things up where the Bucks keep Swerve at arms length, not necessarily wanting to deal with him personally but always trying to make his life harder. Eventually, they likely push the Hangman Button and bring Page in with the promise that they'll give him full backing to destroy Swerve, and then you can let these guys have a full-on, multi-month, multi-match main event title feud.

The idea AEW has to stay with the tired trope of "real babyfaces get beat down every week" is a weird.
Swerve was a calculating ruthless character that why he got popular. He wanted the top prize as was willing to do anything to get there.
Now he's getting his ass handed to him because reasons.

Eh, you've gotta give him adversity now, and if we're gonna get the vibe that the EVPs are stacking the deck against him, this is one of the ways to forward that. Obviously not a good thing if it starts happening week-in, week-out, of course, but two weeks to establish first they're sending him a challenger who'll play just as dirty as him and then that they can take his support system away is a start; they've got two and a half weeks until the PPV, so he'll likely be getting one (or more) over on Christian before then.

Plus I don’t think anyone really thinks Christian is going to beat him but it will just be an interesting feud because Christian is so good on mic and in ring. So making Christian look strong makes sense. I’m thinking Swerve gets one over on him next week or week after. Plus they are establishing The Elite as the top heel group too.

It’s a balancing act. They need to strike a balance of making the heels look credible without harming the top babyface too much by having get beaten down every week.

I don't think getting beaten down was the issue. It was the long pause between it being obvious what was about to happen and the attack.
It would have been better if Swerve was his normal calculating self, realised what was happening moments beforehand and went down swinging. Or just get to the attack much quicker.
Getting beaten down and betrayed is part of being a wrestler and doesn't usually undermine people, being and idiot about it can undermine them though.

Nah, man. There's legit reasons for Swerve getting dropped and they do make some sense.
You also can't overlook him previously being aligned with a screaming wall of meat as part of why he was able to get away with half the shit he did. The running theme of this championship run is his past deeds catching up with him, and him having to overcome that too. Dude being by himself and having to build new alliances is just another way to keep him interesting.

Swerve, AR, and Hustle & Power vs. Christian, Nick Wayne, Killswitch, and Brian Cage, then they take the fight to The Executive Elite.

I get the past deed coming back to haunt him. It just seems like everyone has gotten the upper hand on him. I'm not asking for Superman booking just let him be that cunning vicious dude he was that got him to the title scene in the first place.

I can dig that. He might get at least one moment like that leading to DoN. I definitely expect it for the match against Christian because I bet he'll have to fight off The Patriarchy too. Though the thing I still consider is what they've done with AEW from the beginning is that after a certain point you generally can't overcome numbers, that's why nearly everybody has at least one other person willing to fight alongside them.
