I know this is just taking something from AEW, but it f***ing works. You can keep working on developing themes that encourage crowd interaction, but the real songs hit so hard!
Not everyone needs like a classic rock theme song, but there should be one or two.

This is why people wanted Broken Dreams and Evil Ways both are well known actual songs. Let Zayn come out to bouncing souls on special occasions

Just reminding everyone that DIY’s theme is the worst piece of trash I’ve ever heard in my life.

I agree but I feel like it’s gotta be for established superstars for sure. Like when Bron Breakker or Melo hit the main event scene you can do it for them

WWE has the worst music of all the companies I watch (Stardom, TJPW, AEW). How is this possible.

they need to let the wrestlers choose their own music if they do this because it'd be much, much worse and thus better

Just reminding everyone that DIY’s theme is the worst piece of trash I’ve ever heard in my life. It also has the ability to kill any heat that DIY has stone dead the moment it hits and is a big reason the team isn't getting over. The worst thing is that both had excellent NXT themes.

Can't they just re-hire Jim Johnston and have him mentor someone new?

Wouldn't be surprised if they have a contract for X years, and they don't want to break it. But it's sad we've gone back to the waning Johnston days where they felt they needed to add a "THIS IS WHO IS COMING OUT!" voice clip to every song.

Sooner they replace Def Rebel the better I think. I think I can count on one hand how many songs I enjoy hearing these days.

OK, listening to it like that, I do wonder how I never realised it was a 90's song before. I don't think it was. The original version of Full Metal in 1996 didn't have that track, just the re-release on digital.

Like, they gotta know the people making the music are dogshit (stuff like Orton flat out refusing their song) and they can't just let them go as they're still under contract. I'd say pay whatever the cost is to break the contract (if applicable) and beg Jim Johnston to come back.
