I can't find the original thread, and judging by last week, the mods don't like bumping old threads after a certain point.
so just starting a new one.
I start this thread because I finally sat down and started watching Young sheldon. I always had a feeling it was better than TBBT from what I've seen, but my personality, I had to start from the beginning. It finally came on netflix and I just didn't get around to starting it yet. Last week, I just put it on as background noise while working and I finally started liking it about the 3rd or 4th episode in. I think I'll try watch the last couple episode that are airing on cbs this year since it's near the end. Seeing as how it's a prequel, I doubt I'll be spoiling anything. I like the little callback/call forwards to the original show. Love the cast, and love the completely different tone of this show. It actually has me hoping that the last episode kind of wraps back to modern day sheldon and amy.
I'm also finally watching the Connors on ABC, as that too just hit netflix. It was just on at a bad time for me. No dvr, it wasn't on hulu and I was watching NXT instead. I actually like it without Roseanne. It gives more time to the other characters. I do kind of wish that that weird 1st season/last season of Roseanne was on there. I'm like "is it Roseanne seasone 11 or The connors season 2?". I always like the David/Darlene story. Kind of wondering about they go about what happened to Mark. I always like Sarah Chalke Becky better, but Lecy's growing on me. I totally forgot until she said it in one episode that she used to a smart not so reckless character in the old series before mark. I just always thought she was playing it dumb, hence why I liked Sarah Chalke's version better.
Finally watching ARcher on Hulu. I watched the first two season son FX but then just forgot. Cable tv, especially FX. Damn shows kept getting moved around time slots and days, and short seasons with the longest times in between episodes and seasons. Just better now that I can binge an entire 15 years of content in a couple of months. Damn though, I'm surprised that the show passes time in real time, despite the fact that the characters never age. I also like how the character usually look like their actor. Damn that 3 year coma arc would have really pissed me off if I was watching week to week in real time. Archer just ended a couple of months ago, so it doesn't feel like I'm watching an old dead show.
Started watching Resident Alien. Looked interesting from the commercials I saw. I just didn't remember to watch the SyFy channel and I didn't have DVR up until now. And once again, it popped up on Netflix. It's pretty great.
Also trying to get into "the neighborhood" on cbs. I got youtube tv, and their dvr system is great. Like I said, I had to start from the beginning, and youtube will record every airing on any channel and put them in order. So just watch a couple days, and I got the whole show saved up thanks to cable tv just airing a crapload of reruns on different channels. Always seemed interesting, but it's cbs, and monday nights. So never got around to seeing it.
