My buddies ex-wife used to do Birthday Month and it was f***ing brutal. She was an insanely self centred person, was never told "No" by her parents growing up or her husband while they were married, and would take it as a personal insult if you skipped one of her birthday month events. I legitimately used to dread October for a few years because of her.


As for promoting your own birthday, not usually a problem I have. My birthday is July 1st, the Canadian government does a pretty good job of promoting it for me. Kinda nice to have fireworks on your birthday every year

I stopped celebrating about 2 years ago.

A few people have died around it and so my existence is meaningless in comparison to their lives.

It was narcissistic of me to celebrate it to begin with. My life holds little value to those who have passed.
