How does every women’s thread turn into “but but Damage CTRL”? Lyra f***ing rocks! I'd say push Lyra to the moon at least for a little while as a reward for being willing to take this bump.  |

I feel like there’s this irrational hate for lyra but hhh isn’t helping by pissing off the mega fans of another section of wrestlers who Lyra is getting the jump on. So what the f*** is he meant to do? Just about every wrestler has mega fans that demand their faves win LITERALLY every single time and look strong LITERALLY every single time, because they choose to absorb losses as a personal attack on that wrestler and their fandom, thus an attack on themselves. People always ask “Why always Natalya?”… BECAUSE NATALYA’S THE ONLY PERSON THAT’S ALLOWED TO f***IN’ LOSE, YOU DENSE SANDWICHES Ahhhcktuahhly...I think Natalya could use some wins. Maybe even a short title run.
If they are going to keep putting Nattie in that spot where she's a contender she could use some credibility. 
I think they can have people they are not really featuring take some losses to help they people they want to feature. But having people constantly on just losing all the time doesn't do anyone any favors.
So for example. They want to build up Lyra. They don't have any plans for Kairi. Have Lyra beat Kairi. Next week, have Lyra beat Tegan Nox. Week after have her beat Nikki Cross...etc. So Lyra is building up wins because you want to push Lyra. Extra points if they can craft it as an awesome match where both people look good. Those people taking the loss can get some wins when they have plans to build them up. The problem comes along when you keep having someone constantly on TV just losing. It's fine if you are crafting a story that this person is on a losing streak or something, but to just keep featuring people as losers makes fans not care about them. So fans of those losers get upset because they are being told the thing they like is not important and will never be important.

Well, they just added some more work for themselves, because now you got to repair and rebuild their credibility after having had them lose for the past several months or so. It's kinda why Chad Gable wasn't the option to win the IC title from Gunther. Because instead of maintaining his momentum after the last Gunther match, they had him spend the next few months jobbing to the likes of Ivar, Bronson Reed, New Day, etc. |
