What surprisingly one-sided matches do people remember? I recall an Earthquake vs Yokozuna match from a Coliseum video. It lasted about three minutes, and Yoko won with ease. It felt more like a squash match than a bout between two established wrestlers. What made it even more surprising was that just two years prior, Earthquake was a dominant heel facing Hulk Hogan. Now, he was cleanly losing in what was essentially a three-minute squash.

I know which match you're talking about and I think that was Quake's last appearance for a year before returning briefly in 1994.
I'm guessing he wanted to make Yoko look like a monster on the way out.
I'd go with Brock/Kofi, I knew Brock was winning but figured Kofi would get some offense in at least before getting destroyed.

Dudleys vs. Eliminators at Barley Legal 97 has the former getting some token offense in the first 2 minutes and then Saturn and Kronus just crush them to the point where I can't recall any actual moves Bubba or D-Von hit in the last 4 minutes.

I hated seeing that happen to Earthquake but I understood it. So many from the late 80s, early 90s were leaving and made to look like losers to new guys. Another Coliseum had Typhoon losing to Yoko pretty easily. Randy Savage even mentioned Typhoon was doing the match for Quake since he lost to Yoko.

Yeah, no one really predicted it because it made no goddamn sense and got no one over. Even Brock's biggest fans had to have been thinking, "Guess I don't get to watch him wrestle" as he cashed his check and gave zero shits.

Hart Foundation vs Brain Busters at SummerSlam. I frequently see it mentioned as a great match, but it’s basically the Hart Foundation just kicking ass on repeat.

Maybe not surprising but Vince had 0 offense against Taker in their Buried Alive match. The only real upper hand he gets is throwing dirt in Taker's face and hitting Taker with a shovel after.
Vince only won because Kane interfered

Hogan took 90% of the match against Sting at Starrcade when all the fans wanted to see was him get his ass kicked.

Brock Lesnar, in his fifth month on the main roster, completely dismantles Hulk Hogan in 10 minutes on a random episode of SmackDown.

Brock/Cena Summerslam 2014. That was amazing solely because it is the same story they were going to tell with Brock/Bryan which would have gotten heat for Brock…but squashing Cena at that time was very satisfying for a lot of the fans and Vince’s dumb ass was too stupid to realize this going in. lol

I swear I remember a match from 1999 or 2000 WCW that was British Bulldog vs Curt Hennig, and Bulldog beat Hennig pillar to post before losing to a single Hennig-plex.

So much Brock, it's almost like a "He isn't Voldemort" intervention, LOL.
And I am reminded about him being a New Day spoiler...Xavier's the only one that hasn't fell victim to his wrath, oddly enough!

I remember the same thing...was it a WWF vs. JCP thing? Or was it "heels sell most of the match, get heat segment JCP style?" How about Undertaker vs. Jeff Hardy ladder match? Everyone loves it, but I remember it being a typical American Badass No-Sell-a-thon.

Not just that, the Dudleys were pretty much warm bodies in the Eliminators' Stunt Show, as it was brief heat segment, then Elims spotfest until they hit the Total Elimination. Yes, when someone mentions Spotfests, they meant something like THIS.

The Cena vs. Miz and Riley handicap match.
For as much as they stacked the odds against Cena and made the feud personal. After a few minutes of getting the upper hand Cena then hulks up and defeats them with relative ease, to the point I felt like Miz and Riley were scared of him. Normally I hate this kind of booking but at this point I hated the Miz more.
