Fantastic twitter thread on all the inner workings of her WWE run, especially the 2nd run. You will see it truly was a disfigured mess.

It definitely feels like this final period with Vince was generally his worst in making things just awful for everybody. These stories and various others really paint a picture of all the previous problems of the McMahon regime were basically dialed up to 11, and all the talent suffered for it.

The match lasted 23 minutes. Are we seriously to believe that a Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair title match at WrestleMania was getting three minutes?

Also, the stuff about vince taking control when H got sick definitely checks out. Same as the stuff with Johnny Ace.
That rhea piece tho, and considering how she became the biggest star on Raw? Yeah idk dawg

Charlotte Flair going three minutes at friggin' WRESTLEMANIA is impossible. I'm sorry I can see them going 3 minutes over, but a match going TWENTY minutes over at Wrestlemania? the only people with the ability do that and get away with it have the last name McMahon.

From what I remember it was one of the matches of the night. If they went a few minutes over? Not a problem.

I believe when a match is allotted time, it includes video packages, entrances and post match stuff.
A while back Ronda said they were given 13 minutes for the match itself but went 10 minutes over because they felt 13 wasn't enough for the kind of match they could do.
So I guess they went 10 minutes over altogether but she's adding the other stuff on to that or she's misremembering. Either way, it went over time and was probably the best match of the night because of that so it was the right decision by Ronda and Charlotte.

I'm kind of curious where the perception of Charlotte / Ronda being one of the best matches of the night is coming from because I remember at the time it seemed to be universally seen as absolutely godawful.

"Bruce Prichard told Aliyah that no one wants to work with her which made her cry, when confronted by Liv, Bayley & herself, he tried acting as if he didn’t tell her and tried to blame someone else."

Man this talk about match length at Mania, had me looking up the Cole vs Lawler match and it only went 13 minutes per wikipedia, somehow that felt longer than it should have been

"Bruce Prichard told Aliyah that no one wants to work with her which made her cry, when confronted by Liv, Bayley & herself, he tried acting as if he didn’t tell her and tried to blame someone else." Can this shit get Bruce out of here too? Like WWE won't truly move on until they get every dated fossil out of here, especially those who were (could even still be) close to Vince.

Charlotte Flair going three minutes at friggin' WRESTLEMANIA is impossible. I'm sorry Now Ric on the other hand lasting 3 minutes in 2023 is only due to the marvels of modern science.

It's definitely one of Charlotte's weaker Mania matches (along with WM 33 and 35), but it's not terrible despite its crummy ending.

For those without Twitter access, here's a transcript of the thread. Put it in quotes so it'll be easier just to c/p parts for posts.
I remember fans being all in on the idea of WWE Horsewomen vs. MMA Horsewomen.
She's never heard of Botchamania, has she?
