The Scots are famed for their “easy come, easy go” relaxed attitude towards their personal finances.
Tbh I’m surprised they only booked a 14k venue considering the success of the last Clash and they should take advantage coz this boom ain’t gonna last forever. The football season will be over by then so Parkhead or Ibrox would have been available.

Breaking news: expensive ass show is expensive.
I spent over $600 on tickets for the Rumble and those seats were awful…
It’s getting to the point where it’s just easier and better to stay home…

Everything is expensive these days, especially if it’s in demand and limited

A WWE PLE being expensive there's a shocker lol. Seriously though everything's gone up so this is just another expensive thing that people will inevitably be priced out of due to the prices everywhere these days.

Glasgow is a well known area of social deprivation, that is to say, it's not exactly a very rich area outside it's town centre.
Equally, given the cheapest Cardiff ticket were £35, you're looking at a near 9x increase in ticket prices in the space of 2 years.
It'll still sell out and likely break records and such, but that's an insane increase in that time span

That’s pretty much inline with where prices started for AEW Dynamite in Winnipeg. They eventually got cheaper, but they started insanely high. Like $1300 for front row, $300 for decent lower bowel
EDIT: And have you ever gone to UFC? The first UFC in Winnipeg I paid $275 a ticket for literally the last row in the building. My back was against the wall

On the one hand it's ridiculous pricing, at a time where everything is getting more and more expensive.
On the other hand, people will pay the prices, justifying the ridiculous prices in the minds of WWE and other companies.

I think I read that the prices for Clash at the Castle in Wales was about half what they are charging so if true I think that’s the reason for people’s disappointment
It’s cost less for me to buy a floor seat for All In at Wembley (obviously not in front couple of sections) and pay for my train ticket than it would be to get a seat in the upper tiers for a show in my own city lol. Now I know in terms of popularity etc that it’s not an exact comparison but considering the cost of things in London in general? Still seems quite steep

Ultimately, WWE f***ed it by choosing the Hydro instead of a stadium. They chose a time when both Hampden and Murrayfield were unavailable, whilst Ibrox and Celtic Park only host things on rare occassions. Consequently, they're trying to get similar revenue in a 14,000 seater and a 60,000 seater.
One thing I would keep in mind however, is that the whole of the UK & Ireland would have been the target audience, not just Scotland itself, so there were always gonna be enough people who'd make the commitment, especially if they're making an occasion of it by travelling up.

This. It's in Scotland, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's for Scottish people. Anyway, none of this is remotely surprising, Ticketmaster is obviously being Ticketmaster here (and the tickets will be closer to £350 each once their fees are factored in), and the sheer cost of putting on an event like this is going to be astronomical now with the skyrocketing cost of fuel and utilities. Pretty much everything is obscenely expensive now and it's becoming harder and harder to actually enjoy yourself. Doesn't make it any less wrong though.

Apparently wresters will dissolve if it rains so WWE will only do indoor arenas in the UK.

I remember going to a Smackdown in Toronto about 6 years ago and I was surprised by how pricy it was. As much as I'd love to take in another show, I don't think I can justify what they'd be charging now. It sucks seeing Scotland get hosed like this.
