I'd rather never watch a second of this gross propaganda honestly It probably was a good show, but I'm not listening to WWE gas up Saudi Arabia as progressive and awesome, f*** them lmfao The one thing I took away from this show, aswell as a lot of these Saudi shows these past few years, was that the crowd was loud and energetic throughout the night, obviously WWE has alot of fans there. Should WWE rob their Saudi fans of watching WWE live because of “gross propaganda” or whatever? And what’s with the obnoxious “lmfao”? The Saudi Government held WWE wrestlers hostage for hours when Vince left them there, they also killed a Journalist brutally for speaking out against the Royal Family, so idk why you're putting "gross propaganda" in quotes like it doesn't exist. I don't really give a f*** if the crowd is "Loud and energetic", f*** that place and WWE aren't ever gonna get my or others approval for running shows there and gassing the place up as this cool modern oasis, it's brutal to watch and listen to, they're greedy f***s for this deal and continuing it even after Vince left sucks to see. I get it, you're a big time WWE fan, that's fine, enjoy the Saudi shows, don't be shocked when people don't for very good reason.

The government is shitty yeah, but last I heard WWE weren’t “gassing” up how cool their government is, they were giving props to the fans in attendance at the show. No one is stopping you and others from not watching these shows, I really don’t care. But saying “I don’t give a f*** how loud and energetic they are” is singling out WWE fans who lives there who just want to attend and enjoy the shows like anyone else. To me, that’s pretty gross

To me, that’s pretty gross Ok, fine, think I'm gross I guess, but I'm not changing my opinions on these shows ever. And WWE as a whole on commentary have gassed up everything about Saudi, and that's gross And that's not what I meant, I'm not dogging on the fans, they can't help where they were born and all that, but the shows are blood money propaganda, and "But listen to how loud the fans are" isn't going to change how I or others may feel about that or what they are, and I haven't watched a single one of them and don't plan on it.

I was responded to and responded back with my reasoning as to why I didn't watch and said it was completely reasonable and fair to others who did watch and enjoy the program, so yeah, completely reasonable behavior.

No, you “responded back” to a comment that wasn’t aimed at you, wasn’t replying to anything you said and just decided to try to cause an argument for no reason in a thread about a show you didn’t even watch.

Wasn't trying to cause an argument at all, I saw the reply and made my own two cents on the matter as to why some people don't watch these shows And the discussion continued, I didn't demean anyone for watching the shows one time, I said they were more then happy to enjoy them.

Well, hey, I’ll be sure to remember this the next time I dare criticise a single thing about AEW and you hit the roof and accuse me of trolling or only posting negative things for attention. Cos that’s exactly what you’re doing here, dude. We all know about the Saudi stuff, you’re not breaking new ground. But to go on a rant about how evil the WWE are for daring to deal with them in a thread meant to talk about how much we did or didn’t enjoy the show…yeah, not your best moment.

Your best moment isn't bringing up how I feel about AEW one way or the other, either, as it has nothing to do with the conversation and I did not tell anyone ONE TIME in this discussion not to enjoy the show, I gave my own thoughts on why I don't watch them and why I didn't care if the crowd was loud as it didn't waver my opinion on not watching them, very simple, cut and dry stuff. I never said WWE were evil, but I do not respect this deal or them dealing with Saudi, it's unfortunate, more then anything. You aren't going to make me feel bad for what I said, nor did I say I was breaking new ground, I just gave my thoughts when people responded to me, and I won't be demeaned for it or have this AEW shit thrown in my face to make it personal I'll take my leave from this thread since this conversation isn't what I even started discussing in the first place, tired of shit being targeted at me personally just because you disagreed with it.

Whether it’s Nielsen ratings or FAN ratings, we will have controversy.

You ever read the poll options, where the bottom one is "Didn't Watch"? That's his ticket to come in here and say "I didn't watch, nor will I ever because Saudi Arabia kidnapped, murderer, dismembered, and threw the body parts of an American citizen down a well in America and have used this and other shows to distract from that among other horrid mistreatment of people." As long as he or anyone else isn't calling people scum for watch because of that, he and anyone else that wishes to state that is fine, IMO.

I don't know whether corporations accepting hundreds of millions to create content out there is actually going to bring lasting positive change. I'm sure that's not the primary aim regardless.
But I'm certain that people who'd claim to care sneering 'f*** that place' isn't going to do it either.

WWE can do shows in Saudi Arabia without specifically working with the government to create propaganda for the country, this has always been a false dichotomy and the longer that the Saudi deal goes on and these conversations keep getting rehashed, the harder it is to feel like they aren't being made knowing what the response is, but simply not caring. Nobody is or has made arguments to deprive Saudi fans of shows.
