8/10.
Fun night, wish some matches went the other way.
Here's to TNA Knockouts Champion: Tatum Paxley.

For me, I'm going with a 7.
None of the matches were exactly bad but the potential for what could have happened was gigantic. We could've gotten some appearances by TNA talent that weren't in NXT five minutes ago or one of the two big titles changing, just something?
Little better than most NXT PPVs but I REALLY wish one of the two big title matches could've had a change so the partnership feels legit instead of "hey we're bigger than you you're gonna lose".
Oh and my match ratings came out to around a 7 now that I did the math so that works too. Fun but what could have happened!!!!

7/10:
It was not a BAD show, but it was just kind of there.
The Women’s Ladder match was fun. But the least interesting person and least developed character won. And frankly the match itself and the finish did her no favors because they just showed why OTHER women would have been cooled winners.
The Tag Match was solid.
Glad Lola won. They should use her beating Nattie and Shayna to really start pushing her.
Roxanne vs. Jordynne was really good. But with a predictable outcome and I don’t think the finish worked either.
Trick vs. Page was, fine. But again meh finish.
It felt like NXT had multiple opportunities to make this show really memorable. And did not take any of them, which was disappointing.

8.
The matches were all good, but I wasn't too happy with some of the results. Would've preferred Jaida or Sol winning, but I like Kelani. Ethan should've won to start his NXT career with a bang. Boring result, in my opinion. Did Triple H book this.

C-, for such a wacky and unpredictable TV show, NXT sure plays it safe AF with PPVs. Nothing super bad but I left the show crankier than I was when I started it. :/

Boring result, in my opinion. Did Triple H book this. that's what it really is, nothing was bad but they were right there to make it into something really memorable. it's not like either of them needed to hold the title long either, Trick winning the title back on the CW debut would've been iconic and whatever NXT lady took out Grace would be permanently made while Roxanne helps out the main roster. they had their shot here.

8/10, probably would've bumped to a 9 if either Grace or Page won, but I'm not super bummed about either result.

Good show. I don’t agree with all the choices. But still a fun easy watch,

I don't watch so it was my first time seeing some of the wrestlers:
The venue looked like ass. I was hoping they would be able to dress it up better, but I watch NXT PPV's to see them in front of arena's, in front of crowds that don't look like internet game shows. This was worse than regular NXT.
NA Women's Championship: MOTN for me. The women busted their asses (even if I didn't know of most of them). Shout out to Lash Legend for that ladder bump, holy hell. I had no stakes in this, so Kelani winning didn't bug me. And I had in my notes prior that she was the one that impressed me the most. Sol Ruca's finishing move is going to make her a megastar when she's called up. Might as well do that.
NXT Tag Team Championship: Skimmed it. Didn't care.
NXT Underground: This is what Ronda vs. Shayna should have been. Just with a bit more light next time please. Always cool to see 'badass leather jacket' Shayna Baszler in the buildup. That's her best look. I know some people didn't like her as NXT Women's Champion, but she just looked every bit the part. I don't know anything about Lola Vice, but I'm assuming people are happy with this outcome.
NXT North American Championship: First time seeing Oba Femi. Holy shit is this man a goddam star in the making. I hope one day Vince sees him and cries knowing he'll never get to book him. Fun match, protects Wes, and I'm sure everyone was happy to see their favorite tag team show up! Oba has star written all over him. Big man that can work, sell, and has presence? Huge upside.
NXT Women's Championship: Match I was looking forward to the most, and it was the biggest disappointment. I was getting some serious Bianca "don't really sell so you can get your shit in" vibes from Roxanne. I did not expect Perez to dominate 99% of the match, and then just win like that. Jordynne did not look good here, and I find that irritating. Roxanne was too dominant, and then the weak ass ending didn't help. Grace made her opponent look like a million bucks, but the favor wasn't returned at all. Worst match of the night for me. Jordynne deserved better than what she got.
NXT Championship: It was fine. I'm not the biggest Trick Williams fan, and I'm a massive Ethan Page fan, so why even do this match? Like...I don't know. I just don't know. Maybe more will happen on Tuesday to continue it, but that was pretty damn decisive, and to not pull the trigger when Ethan had all the buzz? *shrugs*
Overall: This was the most excited I've been for an NXT show since Black and Gold got massacred, and it was just wasn't great. I'm a barely watching casual normie, and it didn't do it for me. NXT had the chance to do some really cool shit with this show, and just didn't. Neither of the Men's or Women's titles changed hands when either could have and drummed up some amazing intrigue.
You want to get eyes on your product, let the TNA Knockouts Champ show up on TNA programming with the NXT Women's Championship. Start an interbrand war over it. Have NXT women show up there. There was SO MUCH you could do with that angle. Instead we got what we got. I could rant on this one, but I won't. Massive dropped ball.
Having Trick retain is baffling to me. He's over, yeah, but Ethan Page calling his shot and winning the title? That's how you debut, and make a statement. Instead, like with the previous match, this is what we got.
I don't know y'all. I'm gonna crawl back onto the normie side of the yard and throw a 6 at this one.
Disappointed.

I'd go with a 7. It definitely wasn't a bad show, but I was just bored throughout most of it. Ladder match was fun but nothing really stood out about it. I was surprised they didn't go with Legend as the first champ.
They really had a chance to do something big with giving Grace the belt. She didn't have to keep it long, just long enough to have a few defenses on TNA, then drop it back to a WWE star a few months later. I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up, but I really thought they were going to have Grace win.
Oh, and the TNA invasion continues with huge TNA Star....Dana Brooke.

7. It was enjoyable, nothing I hated
Ladder Match was a clusterf***. It was fun enough, I really don’t love these rookie cluster ladder matches because they tend to expose the wrestlers, but the match was fine
The tag match was fun. Those two teams worked really well together, Anderson seems to have a fire under his ass lately, Axiom and Frazier are great. Good match
NXT Underground. Personally, I would’ve preferred a straight Bloodsport style fight between these two but it was still a good match. Those women smacked the shit outta each other and went hard for 15 min and they were f***ing gassed by the end. I liked it
North American Title. Honestly, I missed most of this match. I have virtually nothing to say about it.
Woman’s Title. I really enjoyed this match, thought these women worked together great, I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before Jordynne is NXT bound. The finish was a little clunky, I feel they could’ve protected Jordynne better and everything to do with Tatum Paxley sucks, but the bulk of the match was really good.
NXT Title. Good match. Trick still needs a great opponent to have a great match, and didn’t quite get there with Page. I feel the Ego’s Edge spot was really dumb because the move hasn’t been established as a finisher, the announcers didn’t call it as his finisher, could’ve smartened them up. It was a reasonably good debut of Page, Trick continues to grow, it accomplished what it needed to.
Overall, good but skippable show.

I haven't watched the show yet, that's for tonight hopefully. This is the match I'm most looking forward to! Being the Roxy fan that I am, your post really piqued my interest! Did Roxanne really dominate the match as much as you say?
