I’ve had the urge to revisit some classic quality cinema rather than the low budget horror stuff I tend to gravitate to. So I’m about to dive into these two collections. At first I was going to just stick with the first one, but watching Casino without at least having Goodfellas be an option to watch around the same time just seemed wrong. Anyway, I’d go… 1. Goodfellas 2. Scarface 3. Casino …and the rest? Well I haven’t seen some for a very long time and others I haven’t seen at all. Heck, I think we watched Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore as part of a film class in college and the professor asked us for some reason if we’ve ever seen Mean Streets. I said I did, but then couldn’t remember enough of the plot to contribute much. And that would have been in 2006 or 2007! Damn, time flies.

Public Enemies - Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (haven't watched) - Who's That Knocking at My Door (haven't watched) Wow, I wouldn’t have expected American Gangster to rank so high! I haven’t watched it yet so it makes me excited. I shouldn’t be surprised as Ridley Scott/Denzel Washington sounds like a unique, but potentially great director/star combo.

I haven't seen the rest. It's an interesting selection in that Scorsese set as they are all fairly early career films.

Yeah, that’s part of the reason I got the Scorsese set since it included Goodfellas, but also some films I haven’t seen a bunch
