Maybe not “new” but:
A Marvel beat ‘em up in the vein of TMNT:Rise From The Shadows or the new Double Dragon game. So you got: - Multi branching storyline like the fan made Streets Of Rage Remake (with 5 possible endings) - character trees (based around brawling/tech/support) - customizable combos (so each character feels different) - team attacks - If we gotta go the BS micro transaction route then put each characters (8 to start, 24 max) top 10 costumes as regular unlockables, then go deep cuts with the sales (1602, AoA, etc).. - Arena Vs mode that like Power Stone - 4 player online/offline drop in - and SQUIRREL GIRL!!
To keep it away from Infinity ANYTHING, I’d probably base the story around “Acts Of Vengeance” where the villains swap up, or maybe “Dark Reign” with Norman Osborne in charge of SHIELD and ,Cap/Thor/Tony off the board.

Surprised after the success of KOTOR and Mass Effect that Star Trek was never given a game like that. They went the Star Trek Online route instead and then Star Wars did the same thing. Not all of us want to play online! There was a very Mass Effect-inspired Star Trek game released last year:

People have said their Musuo/Warriors game ideas, I'm sticking with my choice for a Sailor Moon one.
And here's one that someone suggested in a video that I randomly watched during insomnia YouTube recently: a Five Nights at Freddy's Smash Bros. You already have a whole roster to pick from with all the animatronics in there, so why not?

A game I've been wanting to see for a while is a Yakuza/Like A Dragon prequel game- something that takes place in the generation before Kiryu and Majima became the heavy hitters in the Tojo Clan. Considering how the series revolves around organized crime, yet none of your playable characters ever kill anyone, it would be cool to be able to play as a yakuza who actually is willing to kill, like Kazama or Shimano. They could set the game during the lead up to the Jingweon Massacre, showing Kazama, Shimano, and Dojima's respective rises to power in the Tojo Clan.
That, or give me a Majima-focused game. Let me see how he cultivates his 'Mad Dog' persona between Yakuza 0 and 1. Kiryu was in prison for ten years, that's plenty of time for Majima to get up to some wacky, bloody hijinks.

An NCAA game by 2k. That licence just floated there untouched for over a decade
A baseball game by EA. MVP Baseball 2005 was the last one they made and Sony does not own the exclusive licence to the game anymore.

For those who've played Project X Zone on the 3DS, I've wanted one like that but with Anime characters.

Basically a non Shadow Of Mordor game with the nemesis system.
I know Wonder Woman is allegedly going to have it but we have not heard anything from that since it's reported.

A 2D fighting game with Final Fantasy characters. Sephiroth would be like an SNK boss.

A MegaTen Metroidvania, either as its own thing or a Devil Summoner or Persona spinoff. Like imagine something like Aria or Dawn of Sorrow or Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, but with MegaTen demons and a huge emphasis on elemental weaknesses.

An actual game based on Battle Royale, whether officially licensed or not. With how big battle royale games are (or at least used to be a couple years back), you'd think it'd be a no-brainer to have a game where people enter one by one with a randomly assigned weapon and have to kill one-another until only one remains, with maybe an alternate way to win that requires cooperation. But nope, as far as I can tell, pretty much all Battle Royale games fall under either the "deathmatch but bigger" or the "regular game but with a shit-ton of players and sudden-death eliminations" category. I always felt a Battle Royale licensed game with an actual story would be great. Telltale or Supermassive Games would be perfect for it--rather than just have it be a mindless shooter.

2D point and click adventure a la Monkey Island, Sam And Max, Simon The Sorceror, etc. but with Doctor Who. The short lived Adventure Games came close but think something more stylised rather than trying to look like impressive 3D on a very basic budget would be better. It'd make a hell of a lot of sense, honestly. Also, a Telltale-style Doctor Who game, for that matter.

Its not so much that I'm shocked it doesn't exist but I really wanted a GTA: San Andreas Stories game. I loved the other two (VCS is better than VC in my opinion). I get why they didn't make it.

I never thought about that. Haven't played the Stories games before, but it does seem weird that they'd skip on a spin off for such a big game, specially with a formula already in place.

I guess in the inverse, with how much people are still jonesing for Mega Man Legends to come back, I'm kind of surprised at not seeing indie titles shamelessly aping it just yet. I'm sure that will come to pass sooner than later.

Open world superhero game akin to Spider-Man but you get to make your own hero. Have a choice of three origins to choose from at the beginning, gear focused, power focused, magic focused. Skill trees to take your character through to customize your powerset, different travel powers (flight, super-speed, swinging through the city, teleportation, "batmobile"). Unlock different outfit options throughout the game, numerous outfit slots, choice of secret hideout. Just don't set it in a silver age type setting.
