Back when I still had that, my connection would go down on Sunday every week back in 2006 for some reason.  My county service provider sucked even more than AT&T at that time, believe it or not.

TCI, my cable provider growing up. Ordering PPVs was always a gamble—sometimes the event would come on after the show started, or not at all.

One thing that can certainly be said for the internet, if you want to know more about a topic, you can indeed do your own research without even need to get off the couch.

But at least if the information was in an encyclopedia, you could be sure it was accurate.

For my part, I am not nostalgic for a pre-cell phone time.  Not being able to get in touch with someone if you were running late, couldn't find them, etc. must have sucked.

Home video games where to save a game you had to put in a password that was 30 characters long.

The sports ticker where if you missed your team’s game, you had to wait through scads of football or basketball scores of colleges you never heard of(and in the latter case, for the women too) to get your NBA or NHL score, and pray they don’t fade to commercial and make you start over.

Bonus if the password is Alpha-Numeric and I looks like 1, 0 looks like O so it's easy to write down the password wrong so it doesn't work later when you try to use it to resume your game.

I can’t stand those old school head phones pre ear buds. I never like wrap around head phones and I’m surprised they’re so popular. It always messes up my hair if I had product in it or prevented me from wearing hats. And they kept moving so I can’t properly exercise with them on.

At least modern ones look cool, but the old ones were so flimsy and didn’t completely cover your ears and kept slipping off, and you’d lose that styrofoam cover.
