Is anyone else digging this band? I bought their album a few days back after first hearing the song they did with Slash ["What I Want"], and I've gotta say that this album rocks. Much better than any rock band over the past few years, in my opinion. (Current) Favourite Tracks1. "What I Want (Feat. Slash)" 2. "It's Not Over" 3. "Crashed" 4. "What About Now" 5. "There & Back Again" Awesome.

I don't think he's being taken seriously in the US due to his status as having been on American Idol.

People who discount a good rock album for stupid crap like the fact he was on Idol are just complete idiots. The same people that dog the album because hew as on Idol are the same motherf***ers that are watching every week and voting.

I was actually really glad when he got voted off. Had he won, he probably would have put out some poppy sounding crap like Bo Bice did last year. Not being in the top 2 gave him a little more creative control over his music I think.

True, I was miffed at Bo's song "The Real Thing" I really felt he had a chance at being big but that sorta killed his momentum
I will still say that when Daughtery got voted off it was one of the most memorable moments in Idol history. It was a true "You have got to be f'n kidding me" look he had

Given that Fuel offered him the lead singer position after he did "Hemorage" I don't think the AI thing really makes a difference.

I don't like "Don't Call Me Chris" Daughtry.
He's arrogant with nothing interesting to say. Pretty much just like Usher.

Think about it, with Fuels fanbase added with the Idol factor, they probably could have sold a lot of CD's. After he put his CD out, I see it doesnt matter. True, I was miffed at Bo's song "The Real Thing" I really felt he had a chance at being big but that sorta killed his momentum I will still say that when Daughtery got voted off it was one of the most memorable moments in Idol history. It was a true "You have got to be f'n kidding me" look he had I had to work and missed that episode. My fiancee and her parents were pissed, I was estatic.

It was a true "You have got to be f'n kidding me" look he had arrogance and being a one-trick pony can only take you so far. Carrie Underwood is bound to find out that charisma can be a nice thing to have one of these days.

Well, all I know is, re: his music, I talked with my mother-in-law, who bought the album about it. She loves Daughtry on AI. She has no issues when an artist sounds like a copy or a derivitive clone of another. Hell, she has the Rosie O'Donnell Xmas albums, so her penchant for criticism is nil.
I ask her what it sounds like. She says; "Just like Nickelback. It might as well be Nickelback."
Scratch that CD off the list.
Jed Shaffer ~So glad AI could discover another band to add to the Staind Puddle Of NickelHinder mess on my radio dial.

Their new song sounds like a watered-down Fuel starter kit

My wife loves the music but even though I wish him personal success I've always found him talented, but generic.
