Tough luck

Not a bad deal for the Yanks although I think they should've tried harder to get Micah Owings.
Still, they got Luis Vizcaino. Their bullpen is going to be good.

Here's something to ponder.
Ok, the D-backs opt out of the final year of Luis Gonzales contract because they want to go with younger players. And what do they do? Trade for Randy Johnson, a 43 year old pitcher with a bad back.
Now, I am a fan of the D-backs & I was saddened to see Gonzo go. He was amazing. But does this set a double standard here or what?

Not to mention they're going to pay 13 of the 15 mil on his contract and give him an extension for 2008.

He's 20 from 300. Probably want to sellout the stadium his one start a week.

BostOWNED! Ummmm ya least the Yanks made the playoffs. But they haven't won or been in the series since 2000. The curse has begun you see. The old curse dies, a new one lives, it will consume your team over 80+ years while you will learn the price of your franchise's hubris. By the way this is also your message that you should really learn to take a joke once in a while and reeeeelaaaaaaxxxxx

I feel bad for the D-Backs and Marlins. Apparantly the 2001 world series and the 2003 world series championships they won beating the Yankees never existed.

BostOWNED! Ummmm ya least the Yanks made the playoffs. But George judges success on World Series rings, and the Yanks never won any when Johnson was there
