Wasn't there a movie called "Hood" or something that was a revamp of Red Riding Hood with a Shrek twist that everyone hated last year?
That could be competition for worst animated movie.

All I had to do was see one still frame on the front of yahoo.com and think"this Shrek ripoff is going to suck."

Everything I've read about this movie says the animation is awful, that it isn't funny, and it's poorly cast.

Why is it that there's an understanding with film makers that if you make a computer animated movie that you are excused from making it a decent movie.
I swear it's been happening lot recently.

...Is it bad I wanted to see the movie prior to this?

It's a shame what Hollywood did to "The Magic Roundabout"

I stopped watching these CGI movies after Shark Tale (which sucked by the way). I got burned once, not worth it to get burned again. Toy Story is the ONLY CGI movie as far as I'm concerned.

One look at the commercials and I thought out loud "Well, THAT'S gonna suck." It just looks half-assed.
And I'm a fan of CGI animation movies.

I dont think it will be the worst animated film ever.....it would have to beat Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within and the overall leader, Treasure Planet.

Hoodwinked was better than it should have been. I actually enjoyed it, probably the only non-pixar CGI movie i liked HOODWINKED was pretty good, IMO. Gotta love Patrick "Puddy" Warburton as the voice of the Big Bad Wolf. HAPPILY N'EVER AFTER, on the other hand......I dunno. I agree with Kar that it looks half assed, but no more so than CODENAME: THE CLEANER. January really IS the dumping ground for bad, bad movies. One I'm getting pretty sick and tired of hearing about is ARTHUR & The INVISIBLES. Seriously, like thirty thousand ad spots a DAY, plus major in store displays in every big name store I go into.....memo to the makers of ARTHUR & The INVISIBLES: You're trying too goddamn hard, and you're getting annoying. And I haven't even had to watch your stupid movie yet!

On the subject of these CGI films... tmnt.warnerbros.com/When I saw the teaser trailer a few weeks ago, I thought to myself, "self, this is going to SUCK. They're re-inventing the Ninja Turtles yet again for some stupid computer animated crapfest." However, after seeing the full trailer just a few minutes ago, I'm actually rather impressed -- at least with the action sequences. The lame requisite belch joke, I could have done without. But all in all, I'm excited.

Random thought: I don't hate CGI movies, but God, I miss hand-drawn animation.

Well, for what it's worth, I finally saw "Over The Hedge" last week, and I liked it. Don't know if that belongs here though.
