Just read on www.sherdog.com HBO will air 3 specials. Interesting, reading the full article a former HBO exec. says some harsh words towards MMA in general.

Interesting to see. Turner and Co. approached HBO several years ago (1996-1997ish) about moving Clash of the Champions to HBO, and they wouldn't do anything with it. I guess ten years is enough to bring UFC to the masses and put Dolla Dolla in Wallet Wallet, eh?

Something I noticed in another article that is even bigger news to me is that Fedor will be fighting Jeff Monson in a bodog fight in Russia. That will be interesting. Fedor will win, but still, interesting.

Hmm, sounds like "MMA After Dark". I expect it to be just a bunch of un-televised fights from PPVs and UFNs interspersed with some "classic fights". Seems like HBO is taking a half-assed approach at competing with Showtime's Elite XC promotion. Oh well, I have HBO and don't have Showtime, so looks like I'll check this out regardless.

I like the UFC, but the way that the guys from HBO make it sound, it's like "We don't want it, but we're going to show it anyway".
Not like it's a big endorsement from the HBO Brass.
