Never been a show I got into. I have a friend and his wife finds it so funny-so funny in fact that she had a cold and actually lost her voice from laughing so hard at this show while she was sick-from what little I've seen, i havent found it THAT funny-just seemed like a basic sitcom to me, nothing really clever-so anyone that impressed with it?

Technically, I'm so unimpressed by it that I shouldn't even reply, but that would be discourteous and robbing the world of another instance of my raper-like wit.
I MEANT 'RAPIER'! RAPIERRRRRR!!!!!!

Depends. By "funny", do you mean "feels like I'm getting a colonoscopy with a hammer drill"? If so, I find it very "funny".

I would rather get my balls (can we say balls? Oh well, saying it anyway) removed with a chainsaw than watch the King of Queens.

This is what I thought, I wouldn't have even posted if she hadn't had lost her voice from this-hell that's bigger than shooting milk out of your nose, but, yea I figured she was in the minority on this one

I find Kevin James to be damn funny. That show... not so much.

I love the show and I would consider it my favorite sitcom of all time, but now I think about it, I don't laugh too much when I watch them. In the recent episodes, only Arthur has made me laugh out loud a few times.
The whole Doug/Carrie/Arthur/Deacon/Danny/Spence/etc. act is getting quite stale, it's a wise decision to end it here.

It depends on your situation. I think it's a good depiction of a jaded, childless, thirty-something couple. The Fox show "'Til Death" seems to be copying the formula, but at least they include a twenty-something couple as foils. If you're in their boat, these shows probably do a good job of displaying the world as seen through your eyes.

I enjoy the show.
The traditional 4 camera sitcom in front of a live audience format is dying, but I think King of Queens always comes up with clever stories and funny moments that work well for that restricted situation.
It's going to be a while before we see another quality show in that traditional format hit big again (the last truely great sitcom with that format was Everybody Loves Raymond). But I think for what it is and the audience it appeals to, King of Queens does a wonderful job and doesn't get the credit it deserves for the amount of time it's been on air.
