Recently, I've been debating on whether or not I should complete the now current gen of consoles trifecta. Should I get the PS3 and thus go the way of the PSWii60? I mean there is obviously plenty of PS3s out there now. I just need the money, which wouldn't be too hard. Or, should I just bust out my still working Fat PS2 and wait a few months for the PS3's library to bulk up to more worthy titles than just Resistance: Fall of Man?
Or, just wait a few years to get a PS3 when the price drops(hopefully)?

I'd wait until there is a clear winner in BluRay vs. HD DVD war or a HUGE ($250 to $300) price drop.

As a Sony fan and PS3 owner theres no need for it yet if you already have a 360.

I seriously see no need to get a PS3 at all at the moment since there is NO clear cut awesome exclusive game out or coming out in the near future (besides perhaps the one you mentioned, but, just get Gears of War and Lost Planet instead). Only a dummy buys a system for one game. Except when I got a N64 just for WCW Revenge. That paid off

I bought the PS2 on launch, because I had to have it.
After ... um ... four months? Six? Of nothing but shelf-filler titles and watching the PS2 collect dust while I waited for some AAA titles to come out, I regretted buying it during the height of the availability shortage.
Cut and paste for your own use, replacing "2" with "3".

Dont have it yet) Oblivion (RPG. Dont have it yet) and a couple others I just plain dont remember.

Wait untill they get the bugs out of ps3.
Anyone who buys any system at launch besides maybe Nintendo products are taking a risk about the quality and longevity of the system.
I cant count the people I know who bought the ps2 at or near launch and had them die within 6 months.
I waited awhile and mines lasted 3 years and still ticking.
