I was trying to access the interweb on mine around 2002-2003. No lie. Damn, was their service still working at the time? Actually I believe it was. And you can still probably play Phantasy Star Online through a private server some guy owns, you need a codebreaker thing to access it though. But yeah, I know the Dreamcast web service for browsing still worked like, FOREEEVVVERRR. It may still work now. I just can't detirmine this since we no longer have dial up and my Dreamcast was second hand and already set up on the net when I got it, so I don't know the guys password or anything like that.

Still haven't made that leap. Right now I'm using a crude Etch-A-Sketch/ Lite-Brite combo bound together with chicken wire and some Atari 2600 faux wood paneling.

'96, my freshman year of college. I had never used it before then. The first time I was in a chat room, I was totally lost.

Or 1998, in the common tongue of the west.

Tehcnically it was like 1991 or '92. My grade school gave all the students Macs and we had our own little chat room network thingy. But that was it. We couldn't get on the WWW. I do remember my 6th grade teacher telling us about the WWW though and how you could look up basically any information. I remember everything she showed us was just black text on a white page. No pictures. No color. The Internet was pretty boring back then.
I later expereicned the full blown WWW in like 1998 or '99. I was hooked. By 2001 I got my own computer and have been online ever since.

I spent all my alotted time on the WWF section downloading crappy WAVs of the theme songs that took like 40 minutes just to get on crappy dial-up, and printing out pictures of Sunny. Then I got TOSed and my account turned off because someone said they hated Sunny in WWF chat and I was like "Yeah but she has nice boobs" my dad had to call to get the account turned back on and they said I was making explicit sexual comments. right.
