I liked these games way back when. I was a fan of the first game for the N64. It was pretty good, although it kinda pails in comparison to Goldeneye 64, which came around the same time. Still, I got a kick out of it. I did get the sequal, Turok 2: Seed of Evil. It also was released alongside another good game, Perfect Dark. However, I believe Turok 2 beats Perfect Dark. I also had fun with the Game Boy version.
I did feel that the series fell around the 3rd game "Oblivion" and the Unreal Tournament copy "Turf Wars". Evolution was ok, but it was the worst of the series. The GBA version was good, though. Reading about the new version from Buena Vista, it loses the old history and makes it "Black meets Dino Crisis" and I lost interest.
I did read a few of the comics, but not enough to call myself a fan. Did enjoy them, though.
Anyway, Why do you guys think?

I actually played Part 2 all the way through again not so long ago. It's a really good game spoilt only by some annoying slowdown. It was nice remembering what a nightmare Level 4 was.

Was this ever on PlayStation? No, although Evolution was on PS2. This would explain why I never played them. I was strictly PlayStation back in the day.

Turok 2 was greatness. Everything since then has been a letdown.

Oh man I loved the Turok n64 games. I played Seeds of Evil all the time in unison with Goldeneye. Thing is where my friends had trouble picking up the Turok control scheme I was in heaven considering I was already moving in Goldeneye with the C buttons anyway (and if you do you move 10x faster then normal) so I was a killing machine on both games. Good Times, Great Memories
