When WWE comedy was at it's worst through most of the 2010s Truth could still shine through in moments. The segment with Truth coming out to announce his entry into the Royal Rumble, only to backtrack after discovering it was Brock Lesnar, not Paul Heyman, also entering the Rumble, still cracks me up.

It sounds like they aren't renewing his contract instead of him being released. I wonder if there was a money difference or WWE just felt like they had used him as much as they can with his gimmick. It still is surprising as he was definitely over. I would have liked him to get longer matches and a decent feud again.

I'm absolutely stunned, I thought he'd have a job there for life and be an on screen character even after hanging it up in ring, he was someone who could and still could do this forever

If he's retiring and just wants to step out of the spotlight then my respect to him, if he wants to go on a run somewhere else before he's done, I look forward to what's next
