If Truth still wants to work, even if not in ring, AEW should one hundred percent hire him for at the very least a backstage role if not a full onscreen one because he's still got plenty to give there Because I feel like he's a perfect person to have to help people find characters/gimmicks that'd work given how much Ron has made work above and beyond for like 20 years, feels like he'd be really good in that role, and frankly it's the role I THOUGHT he'd have in WWE especially after retiring... guess not. It would drive the tribalists crazy and make wrestling discourse more unbearable than it already is but it would feel like such a missed opportunity if he didn’t do an “I’m back!” type of gimmick in his AEW debut. |

Surprising, thought he'd be there until he was 70 So like, in 5 years time? I guess the writing was on the wall since they just gifted him a main event with one of the most prolific stars of the last 25 years and he's had more screen time, obviously now that looks like a nice sendoff gesture. Hell, we even got a full rapped entrance on Friday night! Seriously though, I'm not a great lover of 'comedy' guys, but I really can't get my head around why they release someone like Truth and yet, Carlito, who contributes far less, survives another culling.Can you imagine the budget for Carlito's apples? They're not cheap! |
