#15108 Points (Tie)Monty Python and The Holy GrailReleased April 3, 1975Monty Python and the Holy Grail is a 1975 film co-directed by Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones, written by Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin and performed by Monty Python, an English comedy group, during a gap between the third and the final season of their popular BBC television series Monty Python's Flying Circus. The group's first film, And Now For Something Completely Different, had been a compilation of sketches from the television series; in contrast, Holy Grail was composed of wholly original material. It generally spoofs the legends of King Arthur's quest to find the Holy Grail. The film was a success on its initial run and retains a large-scale cult following today.

Fun Facts:The highest ranked movie to not receive a #1 vote has yet to be revealed in the countdown. A Clockwork Orange (#11T) showed up on 8 ballots, being on the first 5 ballots that I received. It was number one until ballot number 7. It also received 2 #1 votes. Terminator 2 (#11T) saw a resurgence in the last 7 ballots I received, taking it from out of the Top 100 all the way up to a tie for 11th. Se7en (#13) is one of my Top 5, It also has the distinction of receiving the most votes (9) without making it to the Top 10. The Goonies (#19) was the highest ranked movie to only receive 5 votes. Out of all the Stars Wars movies, Attack of the Clones (#337T) received the lowest point total, but The Phantom Menace (#299T) only got one vote (19th). Lord of the Rings: Two Towers (313) was the only LOTR movie to receive one vote (#15). The lowest ranked #1 movies include: Twelve Monkeys, Scum, The Right Stuff, The Network, Gangs of New York, The Crow, and Big Shots (#122T). They all only received one vote. The lowest ranked movie with more than one vote was The Sandlot (#370T). It received votes on two ballots. The highest ranked movie in the Top 50 with the least amount of votes was Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (#49). It received one 1st Place Vote.

Big Shots was my pick So far Pee wee's Big Adventure and Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure are the ones I voted that have made it. Which is good, because those Adventures were indeed Big and Excellent, respectively. I can't believe I didn't vote for Back to the Future. I just plain forgot about it.

#16104 Points (Tie)Batman BeginsReleased June 15, 2005Batman Begins explores the origins of the Batman legend and the Dark Knight's emergence as a force for good in Gotham. In the wake of his parents' murder, disillusioned industrial heir Bruce Wayne travels the world seeking the means to fight injustice and turn fear against those who prey on the fearful. He returns to Gotham and unveils his alter-ego: Batman, a masked crusader who uses his strength, intellect and an array of high tech deceptions to fight the sinister forces that threaten the city. Damn, I forgot about ole BATMAN BEGINS. Rather good of the rest of you.

What I like is how the Batman Begins poster has the release date as June 17, yet the actual release date was the 15th.
And wasn't Transformers hyped to be released 7-4-07? And then, suddenly, it gets wide release on 7-3-07? Bleh.
