I'm assuming I should be thankful that I haven't had a problem with my 360 since I got it last Christmas? According to some sites 99% of all 360 explode when first turned on, so you lucked out!

What a relief!
But I ain't surprised. I'm pretty proud of the fact my NES still works 15 years later, with no repairs done to it.

Glad I got rid of my 360 when I did and got my Wii.
I heard from the guy who bought mine, experienced the red ring of death. I win!

As of yet I've still to experience the almost ominous RROD. What I will say though is that at the end of all this the PS3 and 360 will be tied very close whilst the Wii will be miles ahead. Although I'm glad Nintendo are ahead because of their willingness to take risks and innovate.

I never thought I'd play a system better than PS2, but "goshdarnit," I think we're almost there...

I wasn't saying anything about the console wars in general, I'm saying this holiday season Microsoft will beat Sony because of Halo, and lose to the Wii because it doesn't have waggle. If you want my opinion on how the console wars will end, Sony will regain exclusives they lost with the PS3 launch and take second place. The 360 will fail to gain any significant content, and drop to third because of reliability issues. I agree that the 360 will be last, but I believe that Sony will outlast and out sale everything like how the PS2 has. Like the other guy said, its a marathon not a race. The PS2 got the position it did because it came dominate out of the gate. Same thing with its predecessor. The PS2 arrived chock full of exclusives and at a reasonable price. The PS3 has lost exclusives and while meeting their own goals (which Microsoft can't do) they should still be doing much better based on brand recognition and a growing market. They also have their own PR issues. I don't get it when people say the PS3 will outlast things and become number one. They need to prove to third parties it will be worth their while to do so, when that happens the Wii will have a tremendous selection of games. I don't think the PS3 will be a flop at all, I just think it will take a PSP role. Nice system by itself, sells reasonably well, but is completely overshadowed by its Nintendo counterpart. Doesn't anyone realize that by saying the PS3 will outlast its competition they are expecting something that historically has never happened? Though I agree it isn't a race, just ask Microsoft and SEGA.
