So basically control over each God of War game has been handed to a different person, and so far, 2 of the 4 games are amazing, with Chains of Olympus also looking awesome, thus proving that it doesn't matter WHO is in charge, the game can't suck.

I wonder how this will affect the game, overall. BTW, I'm actually more excited for the announcement of Twisted Metal: Head On getting ported to the PS2. It was the only game I was contemplating getting a PSP for.......Or, at least, buying the game alone and just looking at the manual. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

This is the ONLY reason it saddens me that I'll never own a PS3. Wait.....all FOUR of the God of War games? When was number four released? June 20.

I thought that was number two? You're talking about June 20 of this year, right?

I don't count the PSP and Cell Phone games as "parts". ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Have no idea about what the cellphone game entails. This is something we're seeing a lot now. Creators of series' parting ways and the publishers retaining the rights, like with Guitar Hero and F.E.A.R. I wonder if Jaffe and Barlog would be willing to do a new IP together?

Meh, non-news really. Barlog was only on for #2 and is a bit of a douche from everything I've heard about him. Regardless, God of War is in the realm of Halo, if you're playing for a storyline, you're kidding yourself. Sure, the cut screnes are a nice diversion between either hacking or shooting, but what makes both fan favorites is the gameplay.
Anyways, how hard is it to take ancient myths and put a complete bad ass in the middle of them?

Not that a lot of fans don't play it just for the action (which is totally awesome), but I've seen just as much fans who dig the whole defying-the-gods thing. Either way, God of War III would be enough for me to warrant getting a PS3.

Barlog is known because of his work on a game sequel based on someone else's original ideas. I'm sure they're not going to put a trained chimp in charge (prove me wrong Sony, please...) so I'm not really expecting this to matter much. Especially with the cliff hanger that basically writes the entire next game, how can you mess it up?
